“drunks at the pool, not too impressed.”

It would have been a treat to unwind after traveling in the car to get to Midland. Sorry to say, with "Billy Bob" waving his can of beer around and the other guys too,,, well, that will be my last time at La Quinta.

“Adequate for the price”

Only real problem I had was that at the very back of the hotel, there were what seemed to be people sleeping in a van in the parking lot, and at one time one of them walked to the back fence to urinate. Perhaps some parking lot security would be in order.

“No Tell Motel”

If all you want to do is shower, sleep and take off, then, La Quinta, Midland is for you. If a slimy shower, questionable cleanliness of the bed, damp carpets and odd smells bother your sensibilities, you probably should look elsewhere. The recession surly shows here and will ultimately hurt the motel if they don't pick up the pace.

“Great service, old beat-up hotel”

There were some issues finding my reservation. After a really long day at work, I just wanted to get to my room and decompress. The front desk recognized this and put me in the room anyway and took it upon themsleves to figure out the problem. Bed was clean bathroom was clean, the walls were painted unevenly, the bathroom walls and door showed sings of flood damage. One of the light fixtures had a light bulb dangling by a wire and another lamp didnt work. I killed a spider crawling on the wall which made me nervous about sleeping in the bed. Having said all that the bed was comfortable, smelled nice and the AC worked very well. The Conns out weighed the Pros.

“Shower was nasty but the people were nice.”

The floor of the shower was black...I am sure it is because there are a lot of drillers that stay at this hotel but non the less, a magic sponge is needed. The rooms were dated but overall ok.

“Midland Stay”

The hotel and the personnel are nice the only thing is that the hotel is in an older part of Midland, basicly used and new car row. Quite a bit of traffic in the area and the neighborhood to the north of the hotel is a little older and some what run down. however I have stayed at this same hotel for the previous three weeks and have had absolutely no problems with the area. The staff is always friendly and very helpful.

“What you expect”

It was a typical LaQuinta. Rooms were acceptable. I booked non-smoking and one was not available.

“OK Overall”

A bit expensive for location. Breakfast was limited. But overall OK.
