Set on 2 oceanfront acres in Miami's dynamic South Beach area, The Savoy Hotel is situated on Ocean Drive in a quiet area known as SoFi (South of Fifth). The Art Deco District is 7 blocks away.

The Savoy Restaurant - This restaurant features al fresco dining, and offers a full breakfast daily (surcharge). The restaurant is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and includes a poolside bar.
Recreation
Guests enjoy private access to the adjacent beach, and a daily resort fee includes use of lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, and towel service. A landscaped pool area with two freeform pools (one is deep, the other is shallow) has a poolside bar and two sundecks with ocean views. Tucked under one sundeck, a small fitness center provides cardio and strength-training equipment.
Flamingo Park, 1.5 miles away, has a water playground for children, tennis and basketball courts, and baseball and soccer fields.
Two miles from the hotel, the historic Miami Beach Golf Club has an 18-hole course, driving range, and pro shop.

“Excellent location, wonderful pool area and helpful staff.”
I had stayed at the Savoy before when on business but was conerned to see a few negative reviews. I needn't have been, it remains a charming oasi from the noise and excitement of ocean drive but still only a few hundred yards from the restaurants and bars. They have been undergoing refurbishment whch is almost complete a few capets to go but this does not detract . Rooms are spacious, tiled and palm tree lined pool area is fab and this and beach chairs are a real bonus for the price as most art deco sobe hotels don't have pools or beach access. Service helpful and friendly makes me wonder if those who mention problems in their reviews ever reported them. If you want a typical noisy sobe hotel with music blaring until small hours the savoy is not for you. If you want a peaceful charming hotel with great amenities just a stones throw from the action then this place is hard to beat for the mone. I extended my stay and stayed on my own for a few nights and felt very safe.

“April 2012 get away”
Hotel was clean and quiet. Pools were nice and access to beach was wonderful. We loved the extra half bath in the one room suite and the furniture was comfortable. I enjoyed the character of the facilities and was impressed with the courtesy of the staff from the moment we showed up. Possibly could have used a concierge as the front desk employee was a bit overwhelmed, but they maintained their composure through it all. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
“Miami Visit”
The Hotel is ideal for a relaxing holiday and yet is only a short distance to all the action on Ocean Drive and four blocks from the beautiful South Pointe Park and Marina. Would certainly stay here again.
“Happy Mother's day to us!!”
My girlfriends and I had a great time from begining to end... Mary greeted us upon arrival and Richard was a joy to talk to .. Tony was more than happy to help with our bags. They all made our trip very enjoyable and accomodationg. Our room was beautifula and spacious.. loved the bacony view..We came to miami to party and was so comfortable in our rooms that we got some much needed rest.... I can't wait to go back to Miami!!!
“Great Location, Friendly Staff”
Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. We have been coming to South Beach for years, but this was the first time with our 1 1/2 year old, so I was looking for something a bit different than in years past. We prefer hotels with a bit more character and Savoy fit the bill - charming, affordable, with pools and a beach, the hotel's location was perfect for us and we would definitely stay here again!
“Great Overall Value”
This was the perfect spot for a quick getaway to South Beach! The hotel is right on Ocean Drive, near all the bars and restaurants, but far enough removed that you don't hear any of the noise. The two pools and beach access were amazing and the staff there, Rocky and Tony, were really friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed that my hotel suite had a separate bedroom and living room. For the price, this hotel is a really great value. You can tell it's an older hotel (our bathroom sink and tub were a bit dated), but the grounds are well cared for, the hotel was very clean, and all the furniture seemed fairly new. I also liked that since it's a smaller hotel, it's easy to run back up to your room if you forget something, the staff remembers you, and there are always available beach/pool chairs.

The hotel was all around great. My friends and I were in miami for miami music week-- the location was perfect, near restaurants and bars, as well as easy access to downtown since we were close to the bridge. The beach and pool are amazing. There are servers that bring you food and drinks. The hotel isn't modern but its cute and cozy and the staff were great.
“Quiet Gem”
A small, lovely Art Deco hotel, south of Fifth St., so no crowds, quiet at poolside, but several blocks' walk to where "the action" is- this may be a concern for some. The quiet however is worth it. Staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra way to help. We plan to return.
“A romantic art-deco hotel.”
This hotel has the best location on the beach (and the only "art-deco" hotel") on that side of the beach. Located just below Lummus Park, we didn't need a car rental for our short two day stay. Most everything you need is within walking distance, including the plethora of art'deco hotels on the strip whose restaurants are all worth visiting. A cab can take you up-town if you want to see the upper end, but still not a bad walk. We love this place and would not stay anywhere else in South Beach. The restaurant is improved with great food and service. The fact that you walk onto a great beach is reason enough to stay there, but the pools are the finest in the art-deco section. I researched them all and I am a repeat customer. The water was the most crystal clear I have ever seen. It's not always that way, but this must have been a good time of year. The staff is very accommodating and our hostess was the most gracious. Our late check out request was no problem. I could have stayed longer, but had some business to take care of with a tarpon in the keys. Do your own research. All the pics are online for all the hotels. The Savoy offers the peacefull get-away from the strip which is only a block up the road whenever you are ready to "dive in". A great romantic place to get away from it all with that special someone in your life. We can't wait to go back.
