“Great location and view!”
This hotel has its own piece of beach away from all the bustle of South Beach but does not give up on the smooth white sands. The rooms are a bit small when bringing a family but it has amenities you would not expect from a small hotel (spa, gym, cafe). Its pool is a good size and is very private. I would definitely go again.
“Extremley Satisfied!!!”
The Mimosa hotel is such a wonderful place to stay. If Anyone was visiting Miami this would definately be the hotel that I would suggest! I will stay here every time I come back! Firstly, The hotel rooms were spic and span! IT gives you an overall fresh and clean feeling the second you walk in! House cleaning is available on a daily basis. It makes you look forward to returning to your room after a day out! The maids are very friendly and courteous! Pool and beach are great! You get to enjoy a private beach which is excellent especially when all your doing in south beach is partying like my best friend and I did! So its nice to feel relaxed during the day. We rented a car for the week and it was soo convenient, and not expensive,as this hotel is bout 5-10 min max from the strip, and was easy to get around especially when your lookin for the right night spots to go to on the main strip in south beach. Parking is cheaper with meters, so I highly recommend that. The Parking garage on 10th and Collins is in the middle of everything, So it's easy to get around! All around great hotel, and I cant wait to come back!!
“Good job”
Overall, the hotel did a great job. We made our trip in late February. The location was about 5 miles north of South Beach proper. If you want access to the nightlife, and other attractions of South Beach it is a taxi or bus ride away; the hotel is a good balance between access to the excitment & seclusion for relaxation. First, the positives - clean rooms, easy check in and check out, convenient access to a relatively quiet, secluded beach. Staff was responsive to requests, and very accomodating. Their opportunities for improvement are basic things you would expect from a 3-star hotel. There was no guide to hotel services, no maps of the area, no information on taxis or bus lines readily available. While the staff responded to our needs, communicating in English was challenging for some of the front-desk staff, as Spanish was their first language. The walls are very thin, so noise was an issue late at night when other guests were coming in, and early in the morning when the cleaning staff was working. Pool was not heated, and in the shade most of the day which made it too cool to swim in.
“A true gem”
We just returned from a stay at The Mimosa in Miami and were just thrilled by this terrific find. We chose the hotel based on locaiton and price and were so happy to find this little-known gem. A true boutique hotel, very sleek, with numerous ammenities, a great pool area, and direct access to a fantastic private beach. We were in town for wedding at a different hotel and made all of our friends come to see our room. They were all jealous! If you go, be sure to splurge for an ocean-front room. The view is breathtaking. This hotel is a bit far from the vibrancy of South Beach, so if you are looking to be right in the middle of it all, this may not be the choice for you. It is right on Collins Avenue, however, and therefore an easy drive to Bal Harbor or South Beach. And parking is much cheaper here than at any other place we considered. I just can't say enough good things.
“Clean, European Style Hotel”
The Mimosa Hotel & Spa is a clean, comfortable hotel reminiscent of what you'll find on the Mediterranean coast. It is located about 10 minutes north of South Beach in a nice part of Miami Beach. The hotel pool is very nice and direct access to the beach is perfect. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The Frappe Cafe has excellent food and great drinks. The only complaints are that the rooms do not have indicidual tempurature control and we had some difficult sleeping on Friday night (too hot). A phone call to the front desk immediately changed that, though, and the room cooled within a few minutes. Also, the rooms are a bit noisy. The hotel seems to be constructed of cement walls without the ability to add sound proofing. It wasn't much of a problem, though, as the clientele seemed respectful.
“Really nice place”
We only had 3 days in Miami and did not want to pay too much... This hotel gave us great pricing and a really nice place to go to after being on the beach and on Ocean drive. The only thing that they should do is provide a shower curtain...
“A great place to stay”
The Mimosa lived up to all of our expectations. The staff were cheerful and helpful, and the deluxe room was perfect for the two of us. We really liked the large shower and the jacuzzi-style tub. The pool was well-kept and the beach was perfect. The only complaint, and it's a mild one, would be that the bar never seemed to be open when we wanted a drink. Someone else complimented the hotel on having a 24-hour bar; so maybe it's a seasonal thing. We would not only go back, but are eager to go back.
“Great For Your Buck!”
Great Hotel, nice location, Staff very friendly. The lighting in the room is the only thing that I would change, the atmosphere is more for couples.
“Better that what I expected”
Relative to other hotels in the same area I have stay before, this one is a the best, particularly in terms of cleaniliness, overall appearance and features in the room. Availability of a parking facility is another major reason to return.
“Serenity Now!”
Great service and very clean, modern rooms with DVD players and even a small kitchen. This hotel is not on South Beach, but has its own beach area and pool, and there are plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. You can reach SoBe easily by taxi or bus though. We also enjoyed a poolside massage onsite, and the whole stay was just very relaxing and peaceful. Oh yeah, and it really DOES smell great as soon as you walk in!
