Recreation
One of the World's Favorite Destinations: Surfcomber Miami centers you in South Beach, a renowned destination unlike any other. It is a multicultural tropical paradise and international jet-set magnet. Some come for the white sandy beaches and balmy ocean breezes. Some come for the culture. Some come for the amazing shopping and glamorous nightlife. Some, like us, want to taste it all. Our boutique Kimpton hotel gives you direct beach access and a luxurious pool scene for unrivaled sunbathing. We situate you in an unfussy Art Deco landmark within easy walking distance of top shops, theaters and nightclubs. Nightlife South Beach is famed for its celebrity hot spots, and the nightlife is absolutely world class. Most clubs stay open until 5 am, and the scene is everything you've heard about and more. Washington Avenue, Ocean Drive and our own Collins Avenue is where all the action is, though Surfcomber Miami puts you at enough of a distance for a good night's sleep if you're so inclined. Shopping South Beach is a fashionista's dream-come-true. Designer boutiques are abundant, and you'll be in good company with the models and celebrities browsing the multi-varied shops. The most popular shopping area is Lincoln Road, just down the block from Surfcomber Miami. Lincoln Road turns into a pedestrian-only Art Deco promenade about three blocks from our hotel, and it's a South Beach highlight. The shopping is as fun as the people watching, and there are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can take a pause and enjoy another favorite South Beach activity-dining. Other favorite nearby shopping destinations include: Espanola Way, just off Washington Avenue near 14th Street, featuring one-of-a-kind boutiques and a vibrant Sunday farmer's market. Collins and Washington Avenues, between 5th and 10th Streets, for designer apparel, Miami's Design District (about 4 miles away), Bal Harbour (about 8 miles from our boutique hotel), Culture South Beach is alive with arts and culture. From Michael Tilson Thomas' New World Symphony and the Fillmore Miami Beach to the Bass Museum of Art and the annual, internationally famed Art Basel Miami Beach show in December, South Beach is colorful and dynamic.

“This is a nice hotel in a great location!”
Pool area was beautiful, with lots of pool towels and lounges available. Hotel is right on the beach front, so literally a 1 minute walk from the pool to the beach. Great location for beach, and only a short walk to Lincoln Mall (10 mins) and Ocean Drive (5 mins). Room was small, but of a cute art deco style. Comfortable king bed with good size TV. In-house safe offered. Small bathroom but shower had good water pressure. Front desk staff were ok, but bellhop was very helpful. Not only helped with bags, but was able to get me a hair dryer and hair straightener complimentary for the length of our stay. Bellhop who helped get us taxis was also very friendly. Very pleased with our stay.
“wish i was still there!”
fab hotel, great location, lovely pool and very friendly staff, lots of nice touches like morning tea and afternoon wine, and loved all the cows and sheep dotted around. rooms a bit small but didnt really matter as hotel has so many nice places to sit
“Friendly and stylish hotel”
Trendy and stylish, the Surfcomber is a great hotel for a short stay or longer. Our room was great though on the small side - but how much time will you spend in one when the pool and beach beckon? Likewise, the bathroom was compact with a walk-in shower rather than a tub, but it was spotlessly clean and very chic. The Surfcomber staff are a credit to the hotel - everyone was friendly and really tried to make our stay enjoyable. Nice touches are the coffee in the lobby and the wine hour (free, of course,) by the pool at 5pm. One word of warning: there is construction going on at the hotel on the south side, so ask for a room on the north. Also, take your iPod to the pool to drown out the sound of the power tools. Other than that, the place is great.
“Very pleasantly surprised!”
My hotel experience was amazing! Every employee I encountered was very helpful, outgoing and friendly. The location was ideal; the decor was great; the pool area was relaxing and comfortable. The room and bathroom are a bit tight; however, that cannot be changed and it was manageable. Overall, I would definitely stay in the hotel again and would recommend it to family and friends.
“Excellent stay”
We so enjoyed the Surfcomber! Yes there was construction next door but that did not detract from our stay. The staff were stellar in customer service, exceptionally nice and accommodating, and very helpful. It is right on the beach so it was wonderful to go to the beach and then take respite at the pool. The pool staff were spectacular. Would stay there again just based on the customer service. Bravo to the management for instilling such a high level of service. The pool area was not large but again it was well maintained, lots of towels, and excellent pool side service. There was a stage set up behind the pool towards the beach would could possibly be a huge noise issue but fortunately there were no 'parties' while we were there. The food at the hotel was also excellent - we had pool side snacks from the restaurant and it was very good. Definitely just get the valet for parking a car, it was very convenient and worth not having to hassle to find parking which is very tight in Miami Beach. Also a bonus being so close to Lincoln Road!
“Perfect!”
Great Hotel with wonderful Staff! Location is excellent.
