Property Amenities
Located on the ocean in South Beach's historic Art Deco District, the Royal Palm is two blocks from Ocean Drive and a half-mile from the Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts.

The Royal Palm South Beach has 417 nonsmoking guestrooms located in two 17-story towers and one five-story building. A daily resort fee includes wireless Internet access and daily newspapers. Bathrooms have Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. Many rooms have balconies; some rooms are accessible via exterior corridors.

Britto's Restaurant - Colorful Romero Britto originals on the walls provide a sense of whimsy to this casual restaurant with indoor and terrace seating, overlooking the swimming pool. Serves Mediterranean and American cuisine. Menu items include hummus plates, Mediterranean wraps, and sandwiches. Open for breakfast and lunch. Full bar.
Island Oasis - A poolside bar serving pizza, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and tropical cocktails. Open from mid-morning until early evening.
Deco Lounge/Sunrise Café - Coffee and pastries are available in the morning; cocktails are served from late afternoon until late evening.

Recreation
A 15-by-30-foot outdoor splash pool is set amidst lush landscaping. A second splash pool, measuring 15-by-15 feet, is located on the upper deck.
An outdoor, beachfront, covered fitness area includes a treadmill, stair machine, strength-training equipment, and free weights. A children's play area is also available.
The Royal Palm provides direct access to the white-sand beach; a daily resort fee includes use of chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas. Water-sports equipment rentals such as jet skis and parasails are available along the beach. A boardwalk behind the hotel is popular for walking and jogging.
Flamingo Park, a mile away, is a public park with a water playground for children, tennis and basketball courts, and baseball and soccer fields.
Two miles from the hotel, the historic Miami Beach Golf Club has an 18-hole course, driving range, and pro shop.
The concierge can arrange helicopter tours for guests (surcharge).

“Royal Palms was a great deal with a great staff!”
I booked the Royal Palms for a recent trip for my wife and I to enjoy South Beach and get away from the snow for a few days. I was a bit alarmed by several bad reviews I read on line but decided I would give it a chance. What a pleasant stay! The hotel was clean and had an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and professional and the room (I upgraded to the tower) was small but clean and modern. The pool areas were nice as was the outdoor bar. The resort fee was expected so that wasn't so bad. The valet parking was pretty expensive....but its South Beach so it isn't cheap. The best surprise was the hotel staff....they were really great people who made the stay a treat. If you have doubts from reading bad reviews I encourage you to give it a try....for the money there is no better deal on the beach!

I really enjoyed my stay at the royal palm the staff was friendly courteous..and very helpful.
“Great Location”
I was skeptical about staying here after reading some of the reviews. I did pay a small fee per night to upgrade to the renovated rooms, and the rooms were very nice. The staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to help. The location cannot be beat. I enjoyed my stay, and would return.

“For the price and location...perfect”
its a matter of what your used to... The Royal Palm was a very nice hotel, staff was friendly, room was clean and cleaned promptly everyday. Location to LIncoln Rd was its biggest attraction... Loews next door is probably where i will stay when i come back to South beach... Loews extremly large pool gives you a resort type feeling vs a The Royal Palms modern design pool area... just a matter of what you prefer... Hotel vs Resort.. but i would definitely recommend staying at the Royal Palm...

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and great location right on the beach. My next visit to Miami, I will be staying at the Royal Palms. The only thing is they do not have a fridge in the room. Other than that it was great.
