Property Amenities
The Richmond Oceanfront Hotel has an outdoor pool, half moon-shaped spa tub, and beach access. The café serves breakfast until mid-afternoon, and a front porch has a nightly bar. The business center is open during normal business hours and wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge).
A small, private patio on the fifth floor is available for all guests. Two meeting rooms have wood floors and tables, and a third has been restored to resemble a vintage movie theater, with original Art Deco sofas and chairs, and a 100-inch screen.

This six-story Miami Beach hotel has 92 guestrooms. Rooms are decorated in a low-key Deco style. Beds have blond oak headboards and all-white bedding, with built-in shelves and silver bedside lamps. Richmond Oceanfront Hotel rooms include armchairs, large mirrors, faux-1930s clock radios, and Deco-inspired floor lamps. Closets include red umbrellas, safes, and bathrobes. On the walls are framed, enlarged prints of Miami Beach postcards, circa 1940.
Small bathrooms have original tiling. Silver rolling trays hold beach towels and hair dryers. Climate control is rather quaint, with old-fashioned dials that open air vents to central air-conditioning (the hotel was one of the first to install air conditioning after WWII). Views are of Collins Avenue, surrounding hotels, the hotel courtyard and pool, or the beach and ocean.

Verandah Café - Located in the hotel's back lobby, this small café has an open window and adjacent door through which a server passes, serving espresso and breakfast dishes from morning to mid-afternoon. Á la carte breakfast dishes such as omelets and pancakes are offered daily; some mornings, a buffet breakfast is spread along the far wall. Guests can sit at tables inside, or outside at four patio tables.
The hotel's restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. Many additional dining options are available in the surrounding area.

A small fitness center in the hotel has free weights, a treadmill, and a step machine. The hotel's unheated outdoor pool is surrounded by a patio with tables, chairs, and loungers with red cushions.
The beach is past the pool and the spa tub through the yard, and over a white wooden bridge. The beach is long and wide, with a hard-packed area that's great for running. The sandy strip provides beach umbrellas and sun loungers; beach towels are also available. A lifeguard post is fairly close to the hotel. Chairs and cabanas are available for rent, and vendors in vans sell food and drinks. Water-sports equipment is available in the area, as are bicycles and mopeds, as well as local shopping. Golfing and fishing are also available in Miami Beach.

“Fabulous location”
I enjoyed staying here because it was on the beach, close to great restaurants, and has a really great pool area for a small, older hotel. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, so it was a great value overall.

“Diamond in the rough”
Excellent location, great rates, friendly & efficient staff made this a great vacation. First time there, hope to have many more. Pool is beautiful, ocean really close, room was pretty & clean, and steps from shopping and eating. We ate every meal outside somewhere--by the pool, or in front of a cafe. Our first vacation with just the two of us for over twenty years. (daughter's in college) Enjoyed it all.

“Impressed!!”
The hotel is just a few blocks away from Lincoln Road and the 'boardwalk' is in the back of the hotel, beach side. The boardwalk then runs parallel with Ocean Drive. We did alot of walking so this location made it super easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The front desk employees were fabulous on every level; they communicated to us throughout the first day about our lost luggage, tour service, resturants (even though they have food available on the premises.) Although it was very well kept and clean, the hotel is older and walls are not as sound proof as other newer hotels. I would not let this discourage me from future stays though. The overall clientele that stayed at the hotel, was quieter; the hotel is far enough removed from the 'action' on Ocean Drive and thus avoids the party crowds. The pool, spa area is as beautiful as the pictures demonstrate. It is secured and private from the public beach goers. On the beach though, you can rent loungers and umbrellas. We will stay here again on any future visits to MIami!!
“Enjoyed the Richmond Hotel”
We really enjoyed staying at the Richmond Hotel. It was easy to find. Is right on the beach and within walking distance to just about everything you would want to do. We used the valet parking and didn't need the car until we were ready to leave. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They have a great pool and back lawn area that exits right out to0 the beach walk and beach. The one thing we did not see in the area was a gas station so if you go by car as we did and come straight in from the pike make sure to ask at the desk where you can get gas on your way out if you are going to need gas.

The best thing about staying there was that everything was near by, Restaurant, stores of all kind,the beach, and the pool on back of the hotel was gorgeous... I really cant wait to go back. the hotel service was great specially the people at the front desk they were so friendly, the only thing the rooms were kinda of small but its great for 2 people, so i highly recommend it
“Would definetly go back”
The hotel was cozy, clean and the service was very good. The pool area was lovely although the actual pool didn't look the cleanest (not the dirtiest I've ever seen either). From the pool area you can walk out to the beach which was very nice. I din't like that the pool closed at midnight, but it wasn't a big issue for me. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would return again.
“3 night stay for price of 1”
Having stayed at almost every hotel from 19th street down, I must say I was apprehesive about the "rate". This place is great, nice little pool, family run with great little bar and grill. Not you full service hotel but who needs that with the beach.
