Located across the boardwalk from the beach, Lorraine Hotel is a half-mile from Miami Beach's popular Lincoln Road shops and restaurants. Ocean Drive is also a half-mile away.
The hotel offers an onsite hair salon. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in the lobby at the computer station; tour assistance is also provided. This hotel is a non-smoking property.

“A Great Hotel”
For the cost, The Lorraine Hotel is a great deal. It is by no means a fancy hotel, but is very clean, in a great location and has a very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel does not have parking, but there is a parking lot across the street. You have to feed the meter with ten dollars in quarters for each day. There is no charge for parking after 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM the next morning. They will ticket you for an expired meter after 8:00 AM. Still not a bad deaI as long as you realize it will cost you $10.00 a day for parking. I would definetly recommend this hotel to a friend who is looking for a moderate priced hotel without the frills of a lobby studded with chandiliers, fountains and great art work. The next time I vacation in South Beach, I would be sure to stay at this hotel. A very good value.

“Great little motel”
Motel 6 quality, 5+ stars location. Everything is basic of the basic. Nothing fancy. Please don't upgrade it. It's a clean motel in a very nice neighbourhood, with really great price. Half block from the beach. #150 Airport bus station is right in front of the hotel, $2.35 one way to or from the airport. 3 lines of city bus took us straight south to the shopping area. $5 unlimited ride per day. Deco Bike station in front of the hotel. Hot water, central air, fridge, TV ... everything works except the in-room safe, old but clean, no bugs.
“Best Budget Hotel!”
My wife and I spent 5 nights and I really enjoyed it! My first impression was that "oh no...another bad choice I made"....but I was wrong! The hotel is situated near the busiest part of South Beach, and still I enjoyed the quietness of the environment. Definitely not a 5 star or flashy hotel but if you wanna blend in with all the other top notch hotels and save a whole lot of money, and still get a feeling of satisfaction, this is the place you would want to get! The beach is conveniently located just a few meters to the back. The beach is NICE! Not crowded and safe for the family! Transportation is an ease to Downtown Miami or any other destination around the environs using the bus system (only costs $2 to get to any destination). Bus arrives every other 2-3 minutes! Shopping is not to far off...just a 10-15 minute light walk! There is a deli and restaurant below the hotel. People are nice! Basic breakfast provided....not too many options but it was okay. Bike rentals are right outside the hotel! I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Miami!!! Will be coming back very soon! Good bang for the buck folks!!!

“Nice and affordable”
It's nice and affordable. I like the fact that you can do laundry for free, and you get free beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs when you head out. There are also free bagels, muffins, and danishes in the morning, as well as coffee and juice.

omg, i love lorraine hotel, sepacily the bathrrom, lol its was nice, quiet clean and also near the beach. at anytime u could wakeup just jump to the beach if u wanted i really enjoyed with my girlfriend and hope to go back again.

“Good if can't afford to stay in an expensive Hotel”
the hotel is good. not ON the beach as what it's written though its only three minutes walking from the hotel. close to the bus station which is very good if you don't wanna pay for the Taxi. in conclusion, if you're a college student then this will be a great choice for you. the only thing is that there's only one hotel close to it. the others is about 10 minutes walking.
“actually..... a pretty nice place!”
I have stayed at many places in South Beach but I have stayed here twice. It is so much better than most of the hotels in its price range, especially the ones near/on ocean drive. Yes, you have to walk a mile to get to Ocean Drive but its not that bad of a walk at all. The room was updated and clean and had a good view of the ocean and its pretty much right on the water. There is a little restaurant on the corner near the hotel with all types of food for cheap. I never ate there but it seemed okay for something quick. FYI though, you have to park across the street at the metered parking lot. The front desk will give you change if you need it but its free from 6pm-8am so put $ in it for passed 8am so you dont have to wake up early. They WILL ticket you if it expires, it happened to me.
