King & Grove Tides on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach first opened in 1936 and soon was known as the “Grand Dame” of South Beach. Redesigned in early 2008, the interior incorporates textures and elements from the sea, sunset colors, and updated furnishings. Situated just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean, the hotels is within blocks of upscale boutiques and restaurants.
La Marea Restaurant serves Mediterranean-style fare prepared with local produce and seafood, while Coral Bar offers an intimate spot for cocktails and appetizers.
A secluded outdoor pool features private cabanas, tables and lounge chairs, and a poolside bar and restaurant. Amenity highlights include a full-service gym, event space, complimentary wireless Internet access, and chairs and umbrellas at the nearby beach.
The hotel offers 24-hour room service. This is a smoke-free property.

Pooldeck - Poolside bar serves lunch, snacks, cocktails throughout the day.

The Tides has a full-service gym, secluded outdoor pool with sundeck, cabanas, and complimentary lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas.

“Very Secluded and Classy!!!!”
Definitely the perfect place to stay in South Beach. Great personalized service from all staff.
“Second time and won't be the last!”
We love South Beach and try to visit at least once a year but this is the only hotel that we have stayed at more than once. The staff are wonderful and remember your names each time they see you. The rooms are large and the beds are so comfy! The food is great for any meal and the drinks are so amazing I cannot even tell you. The beach is just across the street and chairs with umbrellas are provided which is great because the cost otherwise is like 15 for chairs and 12 for umbrellas. We were told that they are redecorating very soon and look forward to seeing that on our next trip. Great hotel and small enough so you get more individual attention.

“Excellent!”
From the moment we entered we were amazed! The service was awesome. There wasn't a minute where they were not catering towards us. The location was perfect...right on Ocean Dr. Many different restaurants to chose from! Can be expensive but not much different from NYC. It was an excellent trip!!!

Before I travel somewhere new I read a lot of reviews to make sure I get the right hotel .The Tides did't dissapoint. Excellant friendly service from start to finish for a perfect 6 night stay. Huge rooms, great facilities,clean & comfortable. Welcome cockail on the patio. Sunbeds,towels,umbrellas all reserved for our use on the fab beach. Close to restaurants & shops. And as I was travelling with a friend for a girly trip it felt very safe and friendly. We can't wait to return for another girly trip. Perfect.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left the service was impeccable. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, and great cocktails on the patio in front of the hotel.
“perfect Miami Hotel”
Everything was so easy and professional on arrival. The staff we're really helpful and the hotel was stunning. We had an Ocean View Suite which lived up to our expectations. Being right on Ocean Drive meant we were close to all the restaurants and bars of the art deco region. Our only regret was that we were not there for longer.
“Personal attention”
I took my husband here for his Christmas present. We were both impressed from the moment we walked in. The staff remembered us by name as soon as we checked in. They were extremely pleasant and very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to be pampered and appreciates the finer things in life.

“Classic Art Deco Hotel”
Once known as the Grande Dame of South Beach and recently renovated, the Tides lives up to its reputation. It has an understated elegance and a friendly staff to match. It is located in the heart of South Beach action and across from the beach. A visit to the Tides is both relaxing and exciting. Even the hotel food is delicious. My wife and I will be back.
