“Perfect and luxurioux home away from home”
You need to understand that this place is not actually a hotel. Icon Brickell is comprised of about 3-4 buildings that are connected to one another. ONE of these buildings only has an actual hotel inside (on the 14 first floors) and it's called the Viceroy. The other buildings are residential condos. Our unit belonged to a company who bought some condos within the same building as Viceroy and rents them out as a "hotel" would. The bad part was that we weren't actually part of the hotel, so we didn't have any day to day service, and there were a lot of complications upon our arrival because we arrived earlier than our check-in time and the residential buildings can't keep your suitcase, like a hotel would. The person at the entrance was very helpful, courteous and kind, but you must understand that you're not actually going to a hotel... We were on the 18th floor. GORGEOUS view, very LUXURIOUS unit, very luxurious building and walking distance from everything nice and important in the Brickell district. You can also catch a mover (which is a monorail) just a block away and travel around for free. We loved it and can't wait to go back.
“Luxury condo as a hotel room”
I think it's important to realize that this is not really a hotel (the Super Shuttle guy didn't even know where it was). It's a luxury high-rise condominium that is renting out rooms - probably because they couldn't sell the condos after the real estate crash. But they are beautiful rooms that are a very good value. Very nice materials and superb views of the city. There are most of the amenities of a hotel, except for daily cleaning service and a front desk. There are no movies and some satellite service, but there is a DVD player and a WiFi access point dedicated to each room. There are multiple pools and an exercise room.
“LOVED IT!!!!”
It was perfect in size! Located in the heart of Brickell and walking distance from great restaurants!!!
“Life in Miami”
You are not in Kansas anymore Toto !!!!! Traffic is crazy ... why does everyone have to honk their horns at EVERYTHING !!! ... I-95 .... there are no words to describe !!! As for the Icon Brickell ... there were many pluses and a few minuses.. We arrived at 2PM, checkin is 3PM and they would not let us in early. So if you get there before 3PM don't unload your luggage as you will have to load it back in. Parking downtown Miami is non existent, but Sandra at Icon Brickell worked with us on parking and gave us a good price for the week. The room itself was clean and it was nice having a kitchen. If you are into working out while on vacation they have a wonderful spa and work out room. Pool area on the 15th floor was great. While in the Miami area we also recommend a couple of day trips ... you have to visit Key West which is about a 3 hour drive to the south and about a 2 1/2 hour drive to the north you have to go horseback riding on the beach in Ft. Pierce, FL. Overall our seven day vacation was a great one which we will never forget...
“Dissatisfied”
The room was very nice, however there was black dog hair everywhere and even after cleaning it up, dog hair and other dustmites came under the door from the hallway regularly. The staff was of NO service to us the whole time we were there. I asked about places to visit nearby and the two gentlemen working would not answer me at all. I would not go back.
“DISAPPOINTING”
We've heard so many great things about the Icon experience in Miami that we really looked forward to this stay. In fact, we USED TO consider buying a unit there, but not any longer! Except for a fantastic building exterior, the Icon Brickell had very little to offer. We've first arrived to the Icon's hotel check-in desk by mistake but the staff looked totally confused despite the fact that it was located in the same lobby - literally 10 feet away - from the Icon residencies check-in. They did walk us to the Residencies later but made sure they've declared that they have nothing to do with each other. Then the Residencies staff also stated that they have nothing to do with the Elite City Stays and that they "just bring them an envelope with the keys," so we were pretty much on our own. The 1-bedroom appartment we got was on the 47th floor -- a guaranteed amazing city view which we loved!.. However, the unit itself was a clearly used up short-term rental with questionable maintenance and bare-bones setup, far from an "Elite Stay" advertised: visibly beat up furniture and walls, cheap sheets and towels, not even a soap dish or Kleenex in the bathroom, one working TV channel, and to top it off - a shower curtain rod that fell on my husband's head at the first touch and couldn't be fixed! Not my idea of an "elite stay"!..Plus, the 47th floor location quickly turned into a nightmare with the "Club 50" partying until 4AM - we couldn't wait to check out ! What a disappointment!
“Dissapointed”
If i new that i would have to do my own laundry and pay for maid service i would have not states there, both tv did not work and the card foe the elevator did not work after bringing this to the person in charge he told us we are doing something wrong and that everything is in proper order when you are on vacation it should be made easier for you, the only department that gave good service was the valet service for the car.
“Disappointment”
This accommodation was disappointing. There was no service available when issues arose. Few amenities nearby and no TV available. Would suit people on business in the city. Ur not for tourists.
