“Style on South Beach”
Loved the hotel's ambience and location, it really felt cool and classy. I was a little disappointed with the service though: eg the $15 daily resort fee didn't cover the beach umbrella which was $15 extra, housekeeping failed to empty our bins, didn't clean our cups and didn't replace our coffee. Overall though we were really happy with our stay: great for South Beach partying, maybe not for a quiet weekend!
“Very good experience!”
A very stylish yet comfortable hotel, in a prime location! We stayed there in the middle of Spring break 2012 and the staff was attentive to each detail, from opening the door for us to carrying our luggage to our room and showing us all of our room's features. We didn't even have to lift a finger once to get a cab! Despite the hotel building being in the middle of the South Beach bar scene at the corner of Ocean Drive and 10th Street, we had no trouble finding sleep early in the evening to get up bright and early the next day, thanks to efficient soundproofing. If you are up for all the craziness of South Beach in March, this is definitely one of the best establishments on Ocean Drive!

From the minute we walked in the lobby to the end of our stay, this hotel and it's staff were amazing! Jaime greeted us with a glass of champagne and escorted us to our room!! He also gave us great recommendations for dining and dancing. The room was so comfortable and chic, you almost wanted to stay in more. :) The only thing I would comment on is the music plays until 4am every night so you better have your earplugs if you want to rest.
“GREAT LOCATION, GREAT ROOMS”
Breakwater Hotel was amazing. Being a 1st timer in Miami, I was a little afraid that the hotel would not meet my expectation but I can say that I was completely wrong. The staff welcomed us as soon as we got out of the taxi and escorted us into the lobby. Although I had a minor issue at checking, the staff (especially AMANDA :) resolved the situation immediately! Once we got to the room, it was gorgeous. My favorite part was the bathroom features (sliding glass doors and the overhead shower). The décor in the room was very welcoming and I loved the extra “sofa” in the room. Once you step out the doors, you are right in the middle of all the MIAMI festivities. There was no need to walk miles to anything; the eateries, shops, and beach were just steps away. Even though we went on Labor Day weekend, the hotel was not crowded or overly noisy. The only thing that I missed was to check out their rooftop (due to no DJ). However, for the amount of money we paid to stay, I thought we definitely got our monies worth. AMAZING PLACE
“Great Location...Friendly Staff”
We stayed at the hotel during the weekend of July 22nd and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has renovated the building adjacent to the main hotel building. The staff was friendly and willing to help us during our entire stay. We also appreciated the security that stay outside of the building we were staying in 24 hours a day. The renovation isn't entirely completed but it didn't disturb our stay. I was throughly impressed how our windows faced the Clevlander hotel and you could barely hear the live band and DJ that played until 5am. Great job with those windows.
“I highly recommend THE BREAKWATER HOTEL”
The hotel was located in a perfect location right in front of the beach in between the best night clubs (mangos, oceans, and the Clevelander) just to name a few! Driving wasn't necessary and walking was a pleasure from the hotel. Our room had a fabulous view of the ocean and Ocean dr, and oceans 11 with live music every night. We also had a window sofa where we could read and watch TV from...very nice! The room was clean, very well attended and really comfortable. Special thanks to Serge for the outstanding service from her and the rest of the staff. A very positive experience! We will definitely stay here again...
“Loved the Breakwater Hotel!”
The Hotel Breakwater was a great hotel in South Beach. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning could have been a little better. It kept turning off during the night and room got pretty warm. However the Hotel Breakwater is in a perfect spot, close to everything. The price of the room was very reasonable for this area. The staff at the Hotel Breakwater were wonderful! We will definitely be coming back!

I was very happy with the Breakwater Hotel was great. All the staff was very nice and helpful. The room's were very spacious and greatly decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was extremely convenient - in the center of Ocean dr. Located close to everything! Would stay here again!
“Great Hotel”
Looks like it's been completely reno'd recently. Service was great, right from the valet to the front desk. Nice boutique hotel amenities such as champagne on arrival and nightly turn-down service. No complaints, would return again and highly recommend.
