“Perfect Vacation”
We had originally booked our entire vacation at a 2 star hotel in Florida City, which was a great location for visiting Key West and the Everglades (which we thoroughly enjoyed). However, we decided we would also like to include a stay at a resort on Miami Beach in our vacation plans. We walked along the boardwalk and when we saw the Holiday Inn property we decided to book a few days there. It was a very good decision. The resort was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We could access the boardwalk and the beach from the rear of the property. Daily walks along the beach without seeing or hearing any traffic made it feel as though we were miles from the big city. In reality, we had easy access to both South Beach and the city of Miami whenever we chose to go there. Some of the other resorts along the beach were being renovated. The Holiday Inn was not located near them so there was no issue with construction noise to spoil our tranquil environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Miami Beach.
“Nice hotel”
We stayed one day after our cruise. This is a nice hotel in south beach. The rooms are not very large but well maintained. The hotel is directly on the beach. There is a pool but not heated. The only problem is that there are no restaurants around (only a subway across the street). You need to eat at the hotel, if not you need a car or to take a cab. The hotel is 20 minutes from the airport.
“7hr wait for room”
booked a room for when we returned to miami from our Honeymoon cruise. arrived at the hotel at 9am, was told to return in 1 or 2 hours before room was ready. When i returned to the front to speak to the lady she instructed me to come back around 4pm. 7hrs in total waiting for a room....this was very disappointing. overall hotel was clean and i was satisfied with stay.
“A good hotel for a short stay.”
Overall, a very nice hotel. The building is getting on in years, but reasonably well maintained. The staff are friendly and pleasant. We only ate one meal, at the pool-side grill, it was reasonably priced and good food. One the downside, there are no balconies on the ocean side of the building and rooms do not come with refrigerators.
“Met our needs”
This hotel was in a great location, right on the beach with a gorgeous pool area. We found the hotel to be clean and laid out well. Steve at the concierge desk was so helpful! We would stay here again. My only complaint is the fee to use the computer in the business centre. It cost me $8 to try and print our boarding passes and in the end, the computer wouldn't connect to the site I needed. Otherwise, it was great!
“Miami hotel”
reasonable hotel, well located. Staff is helpful. no major surprises
“Not Impressed”
The hotel was full and my client asked to change rooms as the room they got was musty, damp and the shower stalls were pretty moldy/and tiles ready to fall off the wall. For a Holiday Inn chain very disappointed and unhappy with service and hotel accomodations. Made for a very disappointing stay in Miami. Will not recommend this hotel to travellers. It was not cheap either.
