“Great location plus great service equals great experience”

Great location,one block from the beach. Right in the middle of all the action of South Beach. Good service, clean and comfortable rooms with a free continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend hotel.

I have stayed Essex House Hotel and another one in the same area. The price range was almost the same, but our experience was totally different.We recommend this hotel very strongly.

“Very Good Hotel”

The hotel was very good, in terms of friendly staff,and a great location. I would however, recommend that, they do more to fix a couple of lights in the room. As well, they could fix the phone, as I had problems making calls to front desk. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel.

“Could not have picked a better hotel”

We wanted to be in the heart of the Miami Beach Art Deco area and we were certainly not disappointed. This hotel is at the corner of 10th and Collins, absolutely right in the middle of that historic area. Truly one block to the VERY clean and trinket-vendor-free Miami Beach. Convenient to both sandwich-and-soda places and moderate to upper-end restaurants and bars. Hotel staff are truly superb - called us by name and very helpful about local conveniences, etc. Close to shopping (e.g., drug and grocery stores). Nice minimalist decor in room but very comfortable public areas including exterior lounges and pool area. Everything in room worked well. Good local bus service and taxis everywhere. Only minor problems were: construction going on next door on the hotel's expansion which made for a lot of noise during the day (we were hardly ever around then anyway), and some very noisy party types outside on Saturday night. But that wasn't the hotel's fault. The hotel has double-paned windows and thick walls which largely blocked the noise. We would recommend this place 100% and will plan to stay there on our next trips to Miami. You will not go wrong with this one.

Nice hotel, great location, no complaints. For parking, keep an eye on the hours, street parking is often free between midnight and 9 am, so you can save by moving to street parking at night, paying just until midnight.

“A great stay”

My wife and I stayed for three nights October 26-29 in one of the suites off the courtyard. The suite was spacious, well designed, bright and very comfortable with a great bathroom including jacuzzi. IWe would highly recommend staying in a suite.The hotel overall is very charming and worth the price. Perhaps, the most memorasble part of our stay was dining in the Japanese restaurant. The food was some of the best we have had and we are world travelers. The experience was so good, that we had dinner there twice during our three night stay.

“Awesome Art Deco hotel in the heart of South Beach”

All the reviews I read before I booked the Essex are accurate. Very good location to beach, shopping and restaurants. The hotel is well kept and clean. Try booking a suite if you want lots of room. There's a small pool that's perfect for cooling off. They provide coffee and breakfast snacks every morning as well as wine,beer & sushi from 430 - 530. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at Essex House again!!
