“Enjoyable escapade!....”

Parking is across the street but the room we had we could exit out our room right on the beach. It seem like it was spring break 4 the elderly lol but it was great.

“Third time at the Thunderbird Sunny Isles!”

Can't beat this one when it comes for value for money. If you are not looking for luxury but a comfortable, inexpensive stay near one of the best beaches, this is your spot! You can have breakfast on your balcony, overlooking the ocean. The neighbourhood offers a great supermarket ( rooms have kitchens including a refrigerator), great restaurants and Aventura Mall is a short busride away. This is my third time at the Thunderbird over the last 30 years. The area around it has changed, the comfort of the Hotel is still the same (in a good sense). They have renovated quite a bit since the takeover of the Days Inn chain.

“Love the Thunderbird”

My husband, three kids and I spent our spring break 09 at the Thunderbird and had a great time. It is our second time staying there. The Thunderbird is in a great location with a nice pool and beach. Having three kids ages 6, 5 and 4 it was very convenient to have a Publix across the street, as well as several fast food restaurants. We love the laid back relaxed atmosphere of the Thunderbird. We will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends. Another plus is you can get a room with a kitchen. I also enjoyed utilizing their fitness room. Great place for a family vacation. The only thing I did not like was the temp. of the pool. Too cold. Needs to be warmer so kids can swim.

“life is good at thunderbird wish i was there now...”

really nice old place set on the same beach as all them bigger places for a lot less money we had a good time room was clean any problem we had was fixed asap if we go back well stay at thunderbird not a big party place but did get a bit loud on saturday night most people working there where real nice to us life is good hope yall have as much fun as we did....

“Great location”

I know the neighborhood, having stayed in the area before. Has everything: supermarket, drugstores, beach, library, post office, close to mall, free shuttle to mall, on bus line. I read reviews and it WAS a little noisy at night being close to pool but the view from balcony made up for it for me-- and I am over 50. Only negative was that both elevators were out of order one morning. The cafe had good food and service with reasonable prices. I would love to go back again.

“Can't wait to go back!”

The staff at the Thunderbird were awesome. I recommend Karaoke night! Beach area was great! Very clean and comfortable rooms! I will be back!
