“For South Beach, it was not that bad.”
We got upgraded to a King bedroom when we checked in! We were satisfied with maintenance.
“Would definitely go back”
The location was perfect, the staff was friendly and the room was adequate. Great value for the price!
“Nice spot”
Two problems: room air conditioning too noisy and no in-house gluten-free options.
“My first choice hotel in South Beach”
Excellent location and convenience. Service is great and hotel personnel is very friendly and helpful.
“Not so much”
The staff was really nice and tried to help. But there was one day that my room wasn't cleaned and I had to ask for towels twice. Also, their valet service couldn't find my car for over an hour. They compensated me though. Oh, almost forgot the roach in my room. Really close to the beach though, haha.
“Parking is Tough!”
Hotel was clean as advertised. Rooms are slightly dated but reasonable for the price. No bed bugs! Breakfast was adequate. Proximity to Miami Beach is excellent! Parking is a challenge: 15 min parking in front of hotel to load/unload works well. Then you must find a street meter ($1.50/hr). There is a parking garage on Collins between 7th and 6th street that charges $1.00/hr. Unless you're made out of money, skip the valet. Hotel provides beach towels. When asked, they provided late check out (1pm) so we could catch a few last rays at the beach before a summer storm rolled over.
“Nice stay”
Overall very nice! The staff was truely outstanding, courteous, reliable, going above and beyond on any request. The location is really great! The room was comfortable. My only minor disapointments were the pool (really small and hot water), the A/C in the room that was noisy and old tube TV.
“Very cute hotel”
My hotel stay was great, wish I could say the same about my Miami experience..On the first night my sister and I walked around to see the area. Saw a place called The Clevelader, nice music playing we decided to go over, we asked the guy how much to go in he said free, we walked up to the bouncer and he said its a $20 charge..WHAT...omg to sit outside and drink I think not...we walked away only to look back and watch 30 ppl get in free right behind us..The 1st guy then told us that the 2nd guy was hustling...the second night was my birthday the whole reason I went to Miami, we spent time getting dressed and walked around to the night club called B.E.D, men were handing out VIP flyers at the corner 5 steps later we were up to the club who then says those are over with now, although we had them in our hand for all of 2 mins..we asked how much to get in they said $30, all day we asked locals and they said $20..we told the guy it was $20 he said no we dont have that anymore nor the $30, u can only get in now by buying a 3k table...come on Miami...get real..My birthday was a hot mess, I'm standin outside dressed beautifully with no where to go..I couldn't throw my money away in Miami, I think the attitudes and greediness is overrated. I much rather spend my money in vegas and have an awesome time..I tried something new and failed..The blue moon was always helpful, I spent more time in my room and was very comfortable..Best thing was the beach 1 block away..
“Great location, small pool”
The room is great, the location is good. the only problem is the pool very small, barely enough for one person.
“can't wait to go back”
Blue Moon is always my first choice for hotel when going to South Beach..extremely clean, more than comfortable and the staff...the best ever
