I'd stay here again

Pros: Super easy access to the causeway to get back and forth to Miami. On-site parking. The boardwalk and beach are right behind the hotel.
Cons: Offer real coffee in the lobby instead of a coffee vending machine.
Location: South Beach isn't too far away. It took us about 20 minutes to walk there.
This hotel was a good value for the area. Easy access to the causeway, good size rooms, nice pool area, beach is right out back, onsite parking. The parking was convenient but expensive - and the spaces are tiny - we scraped the side of our rental car pulling into a space between the wall and a post. We were able to check in early which was nice since it was raining and there was no where else to go. They should update their paperwork. I had to agree to pay a per-day resort fee that is listed on the contract as a fee for the in-room safe. When I pointed that out, the desk clerk said it was a resort fee for pool/beach towels and other amenities. This hotel doesn't have many amenities so that was annoying. But overall, the price was fair for the location in expensive Miami Beach. One warning - don't stay on the 4th floor (which is actually the 2nd floor). It is open to the 2-story lobby and there is a bar with a pool table next to the elevator which makes it LOUD in the rooms nearby.

Very good if you don't have a car

Overall the hotel is quite good. Breakfast is not included and they didn't have parking so we had to park the car in the street a few blocks away. You can park your car in the street from 6pm to 8pm free of charge and after 8 is 1 dollar per hour.

Close to the beach and reasonable price

The hotel itself is about what you would expect for a Best Western - nothing particularly good or bad. I have 2 criticisms that potential customers may want to take into consideration. 1) The staff seems pretty distracted, it took us about 15 minutes to check in, as they just seemed unable to focus on one task. Lesson: be prepared for an agonizingly slow checkin. 2) There was some sort of party going on in the lobby at ~3:00 am, it lasted a number of hours. When I reported this to the staff they apologized, but did nothing other than that. Lesson: don't stay on the ground floor anywhere near the lobby.

Pros: It is an area close to restaurants, shopping and highway. The hotel is on the beach.
Cons: General business ethic.
The hotel is in a great area and is on the beach. I stayed seven days, but almost every day was an issue. Rooms were not ready; guests, (I included) were given incorrect rooms; towels were not available and/or attendant was not at the station. Staff tried their best, but became edgy as the many issues from so many hotel guests overwhelmed them. I would pay a little more for a smoother experience, so I would have to get a super deal to return to this hotel.

Good hotel for a short stay

Pros: Location
Cons: The hotel needs some maintenance.
Location: Nothing neaby, you have to go towards 17th street when everything begins (the hotel is on 41st street)
Just normal, nothing special. The best thing is its loation right on the beach. It took us 25 mins to walk to the Ocean Drive.

Terrible I'm stay 1 night because I have problem in my fly and charge me two nights smell bad, the rooms really old and small , the room is not ready when you make the check inn

Pros: is close to the beach
Cons: everything needs to be improved, and would be great for the next guests
Location: It was OK
The hotel has getting worse with the time, the facilities are too old and the area around the pool does not have umbrellas to stay there while you take a break of the beach. Almost every day i had to ask for housekeeping because they did not do it. They were not towels anywhere, in the pool, in the beach or even if i went to the front desk to ask for.

It's an old Hotel but the room was ok but not for the price. I know the price was mostly because of the location. It was close to the beach. We flew in & transportation from airport was high. We had no towels or wash cloths of any kind in our room after being out all day. The people next door you could hear them talking & even hollering. Breakfast was very good at the Restaurant there

Forget about parking our car

The staff were very grumpy and unhelpful. I'm not sure they even realize they're performing a job for an employer (much less guests). The rooms have thin walls. The worst part, though, by far, is there's no prior disclosure that parking your car is impossible. They have only 30 spaces there, and you won't happen to be standing there when one opens. They suggest you try street parking (there's none), or try the public lot a block away (which reserves 90% of its spots for the other hotels, because they offer valet parking, which THIS hotel does not). When you say parking is a problem, the staff deny it. Reality check, please. And, the interior common areas are hotter than Hades. What can I say?
