“More like B&B, older but friendly, good locatation”
It's 12 rooms in 2 floors, family run (essentially a single very friendly person taking care of "everything"). Breakfast is simple, server on a small table in the lobby but that was all we needed. The building is older but kept clean, rooms are decent size, bathrooms on the smaller side but sufficient. The fridge and a microwave were "hiding" in our closet, which was a bit surprising but hey, why not :-). The location is very good, nice and clean neighbourhood, steps away from the beach in North Miami Beach and also with lots of nice restaurants/buffets around (Cuban, Brazilian, Peruyian as well Subway, Mc Donald's etc.) Grocery and Liquer stores also close by.
“Very Good !!!!”
We lodge in the Baltic Hotel for 6 days. Is a comfortable, clean, and small hotel, with very good relation cost-services, quiet place, near to the beach and confortable to parking free. Cristina, the owner's hotel, was always attentive to our needs. In our next visit to Miami, we will return to the Baltic without a doubt.
“Great Stay at Baltic Hotel”
Excellent Stay - arrived and were warmly greeted by Christina and given our room key. Room was basic and clean for a B&B - nice linens and towels, microwave and mini-fridge. She also recommended a wonderful nearby Cuban restaurant and given info on the bus routes to take us to South Beach. Great location with dining options, pharmacy and grocery store, proximity to bus routes and public beach access. Wonderful fresh pastries in the morning. Will definitely stay again when in Miami Beach.
“Great Location - Laid back atmosphere”
If you want an easy get-away to the beach, but don't want to be in the middle of the chi-chi south beach, you really can't beat the Baltic. It's in a nice Cuban and orthodox Jewish neighborhood. Great bakeries and grocery stores abound. The owner is a little eccentric, but very friendly.
“Nice quiet and basic hotel very close to the beach”
This hotel is located in North Miami Beach and not in the most touristy part of Miami Beach. If you're looking for a hotel along a more quiet part of the beach you will appreciate this hotel's location. It is one very short block from the public beach and a few miles from the South Beach area. In short, I would describe this hotel as basic but clean. If you are looking for a nice comfortable place to crash that is very close to a public beach and very reasonably priced then you will enjoy this hotel. The hotel is very small, just 12 rooms. Our family stayed in 3 different rooms in the hotel. All had nice beds, a microwave, fridge, closet, and a basic bathroom. The bathrooms tended to be small in all the rooms we had. Keep in mind that the hotel does not have its own restaurant so you need to walk about 3 blocks to get to an area where there are restaurants. The hotel is well run and clean as mentioned above but the condition of the hotel is far from new. The hotel really needs a professional interior-designer's touch. It suffers from boring decoration but the building has character since it is an older building. With a little makeover and renovation work the hotel could easily be made into a very nice boutique style-hotel that would have no problem commanding higher rates. We would definitely stay here again.
“Small comfortable hotel”
The Baltic Hotel is a small very comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood, North Miami Beach. Cristina, the owner, is very friendly and has her guest's comfort and best interest in mind. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and 1 block from the beach. We will certainly stay with her again.
“it's ok”
it is located in a residential quiet area, free parking in the street, nice gentle woman in the front desk.
“Good, but not like a hotel”
good room, spacious, excellent location, close to the beach, next to bus stops, but there is hardly any breakfast, you eat breakfast (if there is any) standing, next to the reception, only few slices of bread and cheese were provided, not sure about hygiene, no tea or coffee, it felt as if we were staying at friend's house, but in a hotel, apart from the breakfast, it's good
“Mauvais petit déjeuner”
Petit déjeuner insuffisant. Pas de salle pour déjeuner et pas de sièges pour s'assoir.
“QUIRKY HOTEL”
This was actually clean little hotel. The lady at the front desk was very friendly but perhaps a little dingy. There was no ice bucket in the room. I had to walk down the hall to fill our cups with ice.I had to ask for drinking cups and received a mismatched pair of cups that looked like the had been left by someone else. I left a wake up call for 6:30 AM that I somehow knew would not be delivered. When we left the hotel in the morning there was still no one at the desk. Anyone from the street could enter hotel and exit without encountering anyone, just left me a little creepy.
