“Great Value for Suites”

Great overall experience, close to everything of interest in the area. Beach was great, two pools were nice. The Pool bar was incredibly overpriced, but still a good bit of fun. The room was better than I had originally anticipated, the reviews on here scared me a bit. As one user mentioned, it had a bit of a smell. The smell was quickly overcome, The two bedrooms were great, and the fold out bed was comfortable (very functional for the 3 person group we had). Overall I would highly recommend this location.

“Excellent for young family”

We stayed for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. "We" means my wife and I plus 2 small children (2 and 4 years). I would strongly recommend the hotel for any young family. The family-friendly features include: 2 bedrooms (of course), 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, boltable door access to the balcony, quieter location north of SOBE, 2 pools (each with 3 feet shallow areas), direct access to beach through hotel gardens, children's play area in hotel gardens, and gift shop in hotel lobby for emergency food supplies.

“Definitely Going Back Next Year”

The Alexander was a wonderful place to stay, the first room I was given was not what I expected and once I informed the front desk, stating my dis-satifaction I was given another room which was 100 times better. My overall stay was wonderful, the bellman, the conceirge........All round everyone was wonderful. The prices were a bit on the pricey side, but I enjoyed my stay at the Alexander......:) :)

“Fabulous Stay!”

Considering it was Memorial Day Weekend, I would have expected the hotels to be under staffed and less clean. To my surprise it was beyond any expectations we had. The rooms were luxurious, the staff wonderful and helpful, and the atmosphere was splendid. The pool area is gorgeous, check out the waterfall, very relaxing! And the beach is only a few steps away. We are from Miami, so from the opinion of a non-tourist I would say the hotel meets any standards and beyond!

“Best of Both Worlds”

This property is an excellent choice if you want to be near the action and nightlife of South Beach, but just far enough North to have a luxe and relaxing vacation; it's even close to shopping. Perfect for the thirtysomething age range, especially if you are not travelling with kids. The staff has been great during both of my visits. Already planning the third.

“A Great Place to Relax and Spead Out for The Family Vacationer”

I enjoyed the comfort and Serenity of The Alexander Hotel in Miami Beach. It is a quiet spot to getaway. The staff is very freindly, the suites are spacious and very accomodating for me and my family. I have traveled around quite a bit during my career and I rarely come accrossed a Hotel I would like to return with my family. Having a Shula's Steak House in the hotel is also a convenience.The food and service was very good and I would definitely return.
