Spring break 2015

Posted 19-Mar-2015
I recently stayed here March 2015 for spring break .If you have an little extra money don't stay here it smells and it's creepy . The only thing I actually like was the room balcony and view ...other than that it was a nightmare !!!!!!!

Very dissapointed :(

Posted 15-Mar-2015
This Miami hotel was highly overpriced for what we got. They also failed to mention that the hotel is currently under renovation. Work was being done on the exterior of the building and we were woken up at 8:30am to workers yelling loudly and working on ropes just outside our windows. The "poolside bar" was closed the whole time we were there, and several times main entryways to the hotel were blocked due to the renovations. There were a few broken old lounge chairs around the tiny pool, but not enough for everyone. We asked to speak to the manager who at first refused to come to come out to hear our concerns. They finally came out and said they would not give us a discount as we had booked through Expedia. The manager spoke with expedia and told us that half of our costs would be re-imbursed, however we have yet to get any refund a week later. We have stayed at awesome Best Westerns before and those were amazing. We were very dissapointed in this hotel. :(

It was OK

Posted 9-Mar-2015
With all honesty, hotel is really a 3 star and I mean it. It's not bad, it's not best. Needs major renovation, painting, decoration, etc. Parking garage is very tiny. Pool is old, pool fixtures around is really old. This is another example of a Miami hotel where the owners/operators "make money anyways" so they don't invest anything on their property. Pro I would say would be the staff. They are nice and friendly. They have upgraded me to an ocean view room because my room wasn't ready on time. But, since construction was going on on the exterior of the building, it really didn't make any difference. So, for me, hotel was ok.

Cheap hotel on the beach

Posted 9-Mar-2015
The room was dated, with the lining falling off the bathtub, the most uncomfortable bed ever w/raggedy sheets, and toilet that couldn't flush & toilet paper roll that kept falling off. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone else's conversations and motions. And there's no conditioner. Just cheap shampoo & body wash in dispensers on the walls. There's a tiny pool w/old lounge chairs. They were power washing the balconies for their ocean view rooms, which were very few (majority of rooms are on either side of the narrow building facing other hotels in an alleyway). The paint was flying off the balconies during the power washing & landing on the pool bar & deck below. At least the hotel is on the beach, so there is access to the Miami beach strip, which was nice. About the only thing that was nice.

Booking of ocean view wasn't respected

Posted 8-Mar-2015
Good morning the booking wasn't respected as I had reserved an ocean view room and waited almost the next close to 17h00 to get an almost ocean view room.
