Very old building that we could hear everything around us even with the windows closed. No air conditioning made it a little hard to sleep or take a nap. And I'm not sure, but I think the furniture is as old and dirty as the building.

This is a hotel with a lot of history. Located in the heart of Mexico City. This hotel is convenient to all the attractions the city has to offer. Now, this hotel is old school, missing many modern amenities. Like AC, updated bathroom fixtures ect. But the charm of this place dissolves these lacking amenities. A few cracks and peeling paint, this place exudes history. And the nightly price point helps with a good night sleep.

When I arrive, the bed sheets were dirty, full of hair stains. The mattress are old and hard.

Love it is in zocalo and so close to the metro. Ubers were easy to find. Staff very helpful.

This property was absolutely perfect for me and my tastes. I love historic buildings and buildings that have maintained a lovely character and charm. Now, someone expecting modern plumbing and totally modern accommodations may be a little disappointed. But do be located right next to the Zócalo was perfect for me.

It had heaps of charm being nearly 100 years old. Perfect for my needs. Another kind of guest may not like the age of the plumbing and furniture but I was fine with it

Great location...nice property....safe location...amazing views of zocalo...Friendly staff...always there for you...tried to have a beer at roof top but they told me they cannot sell me a beer if not paid for the buffet.... Love my stay at best western majestic overall..thnks

They advertised Free WiFi. It was almost nonexistent in our room. The view of the Zocalo was great, but the windows let in a lot of noise. Rooms were older, but charming. Location is great in the Centro Histórico.

Very bad Hotel for how much it cost Dont stay here
Where do I start first the staff of the Hotel where very nice and that about the only positive thing about this place. I stayed on the 6 floor with a balcony room the view was a great view. But bed was by far the most uncomfortable slab I’ve ever slept on and hurt my back. Second the Wi-Fi internet was bad really bad half the time it wouldn’t even connect and when it did it pretty much didn’t work causing my phone to use data and charge me for roaming outside the USA. Being on the 6th floor made my room under the roof top restaurant where you could hear ever single chair and table be push around very very loud and annoying from 7am to 10pm it was bad. The restaurant was weird I went there to wait for my room when I checked in around noon they told me the buffet lunch wasn’t fully set up and would take 15mins it took almost an hour before they started serving the food I had 1 plate of food and the the waiter came to me and said the buffet was over with and I couldn’t eat anymore it was very weird because there was about 8 customers in the whole place. How are you going to open for lunch at almost 1:30pm then close less then an hour later with all the food still out on the buffet line. there where more staff then customers and staff was eating from the buffet. The food was mostly cold for just being put out and the salad bar look like everything was from the day before wilted. The food was very bland and not good tasting. Also for what you got it was very expensive.

Can't beat the location and views of Zocalo, staff always available, convenient having rooftop terrace bar and restaurant. Beds are very small and super firm, not suitable for 6 ft tall persons, not a lot of water pressure in shower. A sewage smell throughout rooms on some days. We were there over Day of the Dead and it was a great location for all the festivities.

Staff is very cordial and the location superb. I really love the room with a view overlooking the Zocalo. The terrace restaurant is excellent and view incredible. Room service was great!

Un happy
The view was espectacular but there was no AC in the room so we had to sleep with the window opened and since there was construction work outside, it was extremely noisy so we couldn’t sleep. Also there was no parking.

I ended up with a room with no window, it felt very strange no having a window. I asked if I could move to a different room and they said yes but it will be the next day. well it never happen the next day they told me it was completely booked. my family and I ended in a very sufficated room al weekend, not pleasant.

The surrounding area made a lot of disturbing noises like a bullhorn blasting at 5:00am from the protesters. They were chanting and singing day and night. There were many many police officers with long rifles and riot gear. It was frightening. I was half way through when the volcano continued erupting to the point of spewing ash and boiling up and splitting the roadway. I told the manager I need to leave and to please refund the rest of my trip he said no he would not. It was up to Expedia. Expedia said the hotel refused Each blamed each other. The day I left the country was sheer luck because the entire international airport closed down the following day. Other airports in the area around the city closed down the day I left. I will not stay at the hotel again because they refused to refund the six days I was owed. Not a great experience when a volcano is so unpredictable. They didn’t care. The Ubers couldn’t even come to pick me up as a result of the protesters closing streets down.

there was no air conditioning, heat or any other sort of ventilation in room other than opening window and running portable fan. Hot water was sporadic at best, tub didn't drain and I ended up standing in 4" of dirty water when showering, elevator required an employee operate it and frequently they were scarce. I sometimes had to wait five minutes oror to get to 6th floor where room was. Beautiful building, great location, in desperate need of modernization

Loud Loud Loud.
Too loud! 24/7 construction. The rooms have hardly any furniture. I thought all the furniture had been stolen. The beds are super uncomfortable, but the biggest factor is the noise level. They have a nighttime crew that works from midnight to 6 AM every night setting up the plaza. Do not stay here.
