“History and Luxury”

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The gardens and the views are outstanding. The staff are knowledgeable, charming and attentive.While more expensive than other hotels in Taormina, you certainly get value for money. We will go again.

“Still the best ... but only just.”

Superb service. Excellent breakfasts with Sicilian specialities in abundance, such as chilli pecorino and chestnut honey and coffee ice, brioche and whipped cream. The 1890's wing (with bigger rooms) could perhaps do with an ever so subtle makeover if it is to compete with the newly restored Timeo (the Domenico's only real rival). Charging 17eu per day for wi-fi in a cold and snooty City hotel is not uncommon but this sort of pointless venality is somewhat at odds with the othewise charming service. Like being charged for tea by one's Grandmother. Aside from this, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The Concierge knows every restaurant and every beach for miles around.

“Great hotel - just don't eat or drink there”

Fabulous property and faultless service. It is old fashioned, so don't go expecting a boutique place. I didn't eat or drink a single thing outside breakfast - the rates for this are stupendous, but there are plenty of places in town for this.

Une fois la porte du monastère franchie , l'élégance de la décoration contemporaine du cloitre central vous accueille et la fragrance des fleurs d'orangers de citronniers et de lavande explose , la beauté des jardins , la vue sur la baie de Taormina est à couper le souffle . J'en est trop dit , c'est un lieu magique ...propice à la méditation !!!!

“San Domenico Palace”

Beautiful hotel and hotel grounds. The garden was lovely and peaceful. The pool had a relaxing atmosphere and overall views were spectacular. The rooms were charming, but on the small side. But had the feel of the monestary with a new luxury decor that fit the history. My favorite was the outdoor center garden where in the evenings they had a piano playing and cocktails. Very nice glass enclosed area but still outdoors. Loved this hotel and plan to return and stay longer.

“Très beau hôtel pour se détendre en tranquilité”

Je suis allée chez Le San Domenico Palace Hotel pour me detendre avec ma famille et nous avons trouvé exactement ça. La detente totale. J'ai trouvé l'hôtel très beau avec un très beau jardin donnant sur la mer et sur l'Etna. Les vues du jardin sont exceptionnelles et nous avons passé des beaux moments en se promenant au jardin. Partout on pouvait sentir le parfums des orangiers et des fleurs. Le personnel de l'hôtel était tous très sympas et ils se sont comportés tous avec un vrai charme d'antan ce que nous avons beaucoup appreciés. Deux points négatifs: Le décor dans les chambres et sur le deuxième étage est à rafraîchir et la qualité de la cuisine n'est pas à la hauteur d'un hôtel de luxe. Petite astuce: Prenez une chambre qui donne sur la mer avec petit déj inclus, les vues sont exceptionnelles et le petit déj est delicieux et très copieux.
