“Great Hotel in a great location”

This hotel is right on the main walking street, it is very nice, clean & beautifully decorated. It is close to everything you would want to do in Taormina. The breakfast is outstanding, the room was large and comfortable with all of the amenities. The only draw back for me was that the desk staff was not very pleasant or very helpful, in a place like this hotel you would expect a better attitude from the staff.

“Hotel Isabella (Twin Bed Room)”

We stayed at the Isabella for my sister's wedding. My friend and I shared a twin bed room at the back of the hotel, which was quiet and cool. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room small but nicely decorated. The beds were firm but comfortable. There was no tea or coffee-making facility in the room, but numerous cafes are close to the hotel serving great cappucino. The breakfast comprised of croissants, rolls, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juices, and was very pleasant. The hotel was, overall, excellent: great service, comfortable and clean, with a good bathroom and brilliant location. Highly recommended.

“Our best experience in Sicily”

This hotel is one of the few right on the walking mall in Taormina.... perfect access to restaurants, shopping, and people watching. The rooms are larger than most European hotels we've encountered and include a large patio shared with another unit. As soon as my wife saw the room she wanted to stay more than our reserved one night and we were able to arrange for two more nights. In fact they upgraded us to a still larger room. The helpful staff then made reservations for us at a hotel in the town where we were heading next. The included breakfast buffet was better than we've had elsewhere in Italy, and even included bacon and eggs! Note that, because the hotel is on the walking mall, you can't drive directly to the hotel and parking is off site, reached by a shuttle bus available just outside the pedestrian area.

“Wish we had stayed there the whole week”

It was lovely to relax on the balcony after a day sightseeing, with splendid views over the sea & mountains. Staff very friendly. Grounds really lovely although swimming pool hadn't been cleaned out. Needed to be fit to climb back up from Cefalu town, but you could always take your car. Autostrada connections to other parts of Sicily very good

“Impressed”

The hotel located in the centre of the town. It's extremely convenient to go around. The room size is ok but it's very clean and the deco is nice. There's no bath but only shower. The Shower is good. The service of the hotel is excellent. For the breakfast, we love the croissant.

Lovely hotel situated in the middle of Taormina and convenient for shops ans restaurants. Perfect location for a short break.

“Roof terrace views amazing, Greek Theatre, Beautiful Bay and Etna.”

Easy to get about as hotel very central. Staff extremely helpfull. Breakfast more than adequate with real bacon and eggs. Maybe rooms at rear of hotel had better views but wouldn't have missed watching the convoy along the pedestrians only Corso Umberto under our window (at 1a.m.) when Milan beat Liverpool. What a sight - dozens of scooters and cars celebrating as only Italians know how!

“Central Taormina Hotel”

For two 'recently retired', spending two nights, the Hotel Isabella was perfectly placed on the main street, Corso Umberto, for observing the parade of tourists through the town and only minutes from the main atractions, all on the level. The hotel has a lift. The breakfast was the best we encountered in two weeks in Sicily and included a hot dish. Expedia's price was very competitive and compared well with other hotels in the same category in this expensive town.

“Exellent Choice”

Taormina was my final destination after 2 other previous stops in southern mainland Italy. I picked the Hotel Isabella as having visited Taormina previously, I was aware of it's central location. My choice proved to be a good one and I could not fault it in any way. As a single traveller I was given a spacious double room which has been the best I have stayed in during my many previous Italian trips. The room was overlooking the main street but I had no problem sleeping as the noise was very minimal. Breakfast was also very nice with a good selection, even scrambled eggs and bacon which made a nice change, being on the continent. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional and I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again in the future.
