“Perfect for non gamblers”

We enjoy staying at this hotel. It is the newest non casino hotel in Mesquite. We don't have to walk through a smokey casino to check in and to get to our room. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Very convenient location. We stay here frequently on our annual trips to the desert.

“Totally Satisfied”

Great location, in the newer part of Mesquite, close to the best golf courses, easy access off the freeway. Very quiet, no traffic noises. The hot tub was available til late at night which is a big plus since we checked in fairly late, and it was perhaps the cleanest I have ever seen at a hotel! Beds were very comfortable, room temp was perfect. Breakfast was very impressive, a lot to choose from, and was included in the price of the room. Hotel staff were a very pleasant and much needed surprise after what we had just delt with in Vegas. Our stay was just what we needed to finish out our trip! I definetly will stay there again on my next golf outing this Winter!

Area recommendations

The North part of Mesquite, good access to newer dining and shopping, much better scenery too. One newer casino in that area which has the better buffet as well, which is right off the freeway exit. Several great golf courses in the North part of town as well, spectacular layouts in the canyons.

“Will stay here again!”

Excellent hotel! Newer hotel, very clean inside and out, all the amenities were excellent. Stayed for just one night, but had a wonderful night's sleep and great breakfast (included in the night's price) with a wide array from eggs, fruit, cereal, and french toast to name a few. Compared with other hotels in the city, Falcon Ridge definitely stands out in all areas. We did book online as calling the hotel directly we were told no room was available on the level we wanted and we would have to upgrade. We will definitely stay here again, however, and continue to compare online. The price was comparable and we go through here often.

“2nd visit”

This hotel is very nice with very comfortable beds and pillows. Nice comforters covered with sheets so you know they are clean as opposed to scary polyester bed spreads in most hotels. Heated pool is warm. Breakfast- many hot choices, eggs, potatoes, sausages, biscuits, gravy, waffles and the usual cold choices. Sits on hill with great views.

Had some problems checking in. The clerk could not find my reservation which was done through Expedia. Took 40 minutes to find my reservation. Otherwise good place to spend the night.

“Alone on a hill in the desert..”

Booked and stayed at this property between 3 nights in Zion Nat. Park and Vegas, our point of departure. The hotel is relatively new, which is a nice surprise, but it is rather isolated on a hill above the town of Mesquite, AZ, in an area that appears to have been rather badly affected by the economic downturn, with many new home developments to the west, most appearing unsold. The staff was basically a skeleton crew, requiring a phone to be dialed to access a live person to assist with check-in. Check-in went smoothly enough, but the room, reserved as a King, consisted of two queens, and carried the distinct odor of cigarettes. A trip back to the desk got us the room we'd requested, and no odors. The clerk's insistence that the property is fully non-smoking didn't really assuage the issue in the first room. My suspicions were that the housekeeping staff may have come off a smoke break just prior to cleaning the room. Breakfast in the morning was actually pretty good, with Belgian waffles, cheese omlettes, sausage and orange juice/coffee. The staff could have been a little more responsive regarding places to see/ things to do in the area. As it was, a few minutes in the hot tub to soothe sore hiking muscles plus a decent night's sleep was sufficient, given the price offered through Expedia.

Area recommendations

The gas station just east of Jack-in-the-Box on Sand Hill Rd. featured a very helpful young man, an amputee, who appeared more proficient with one arm than most people with two. Above all else, his positive attitude and desire to provide accurate information to travelers bespoke of both his upbringing and his training. He was a bright spot in the day.
