The Greater Meriden area, as well as New Haven and even the Berkshires, can be viewed from atop Castle Craig in Hubbard Park. Built in 1900, the castle sits 1,002 feet above sea level, with hiking trails leading to the 32-foot-high structure. Closer to the center of town is the 1711 Solomon Goffe House, Meriden's oldest remaining building and home to a living history museum with costumed guides.
