The first room had a broken air conditioner. We wanted heat and this wouldn’t turn off. The reception said it would be a couple of hours before maintenance could come up to take a look at it, so at 8:30 pm after we already showered, we had to switch rooms. In the next room, the bidet was working correctly. The next morning reception said that maintenance would come up while we were at breakfast. We stayed at breakfast for an hour. When we returned, nobody’s had fixed it.

The property and service at the hotel is great. The breakfast however is awful. There are good breakfast places around. The dinner and lunch is good.

Staff was very stiff and it didn’t matter that I was Expedia platinum, I had to show them I was entitled to an uograde and even though a big hotel that didn’t seem bust nothing was offered until our last night so why move then. No complimentary water, coffee anything, really? BTW - I contacted Expedia for help and you were zero help with your chat bot and supposedly live chat. Travel is not what it used or bel. I could sacrifice amenity, but really appreciate respect of being good well travelled customer. Oh well.

The hotel has a lovely lobby and we enjoyed the in-hotel restaurant. The concierge was not as helpful and was unable to assist or provide recommendations during our visit.

Couldn't Find My Reservation
Good location and amazing service. Food is delicious. However, I had problems checking in because they couldn't find my reservation because I did it though Hotels.com. I never had a problem in the past but I was frustrated with this. After researching for my reservation, I was inform that their system didn't loaded my reservation that it was done 5 months before my stay.

Boa localização
Hotel muito bem localizado, próximo de bares, restaurantes, farmácias e lojas de conveniência. O lobby e o restaurante são muito bonitos, bom café da manhã e boa comida. A academia é pequena e a piscina não é aquecida. O quarto é grande, os colchões que já estão precisando ser trocados, mas não são desconfortáveis, e como fiquei no andar baixo dava pra ouvir barulho da rua nos primeiros dias, depois acostumei. No geral é muito bom, foi minha segunda vez nesse hotel.

Very nice hotel in the center of the city, excellent restaurant and wonderful breakfast. We had a corner room, very big, but shower was leaking. Pro: location, fairly priced, very helpful and well trained staff The only con was that only 2 elevators are not adequate, sometimes the wait was long. Business center did not have a computer or printer, but frontdesk was willing to print our documents.

First let me say that what I did have a good experience with was the concierge. He was very helpful in finding places to go and places to eat. Ask for Martin if you are going. Beyond that I found the hotel and staff very disappointing. The facility seems to have not been updated in quite some time. The gym left a lot to be desired, and the breakfast was ordinary. The problem I had with the staff is that they were not helpful in giving directions. Being in a new city knowing how to get somewhere is very important. We were also surprised one morning that when we returned to our room after breakfast at 8:45 that our room was being cleaned. So we needed to wait until it was done in order to change our clothes. This would not be a hotel that we would return to

Beautiful place, very convenient to restaurants, etc. Large room. Excellent breakfast. Onsite parking was a big plus for us. Unloading and initial parking was a negative - instead of offering to help with luggage, the attendant was trying to inform me that there was no valet parking. Not a good start - but it got better from there. No in-room coffee.

Overpriced, Not a "Luxury" Experience
This hotel bills itself as "The Mendoza Luxury Hotel", but I don't believe this is an apt description. While this may have been true in the past, the hotel seems to be coasting on its reputation...and charging per that reputation as opposed to reality. I will say that the best part about my stay was the friendly, attentive service, especially from the front desk staff. Room service was also speedy. The not-so-great aspects of my stay were: The room itself was spacious, but the furniture and fixtures were tired and showing their age. And although the room itself was non-smoking, each evening the hallway of my floor smelled of cigarettes and the odor came into my room. The bed was not overly comfortable, but it was fine. The worst part of the room was the bathroom - especially the toiletries. I noticed the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower looked a little worn (the lettering on the bottles had faded and the caps were dented and had stains on them). When I opened the shampoo bottle, it was clear it had been refilled because it was "gummed up" and there was hair in the threads of the cap. Disgusting. I then took a look at the shampoo and conditioner by the bathtub, only to see that - while the liquids were different - both bottles said "Conditioner". Again, they are clearly reusing the toiletry bottles. This is not luxury.
