“Upscale & comfortable Hotel”
The hotel is in a good location in the center of Mendoza. It was very clean & the staff was helpful and very nice. Every question I had was pleasantly answered and although my husband speaks Spanish, I do not and it was nice to have the staff speak English to me. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very nice and again the staff was wonderful. The pool was also very nice and clean. I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. It really was wonderful from start to finish.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. I had never been to Mendoza, Argentina before and was looking for a nice hotel to serve as our home base as we visited the town and the nearby wineries. A friend had warned us that their experience at another local hotel was not pleasant. I found the photos on the Hotel's website to be accurate; the rooms, the gym and the overall facilities were above par. The service was excellent. We only booked two nights through Expedia, but planned on staying in Mendoza for four nights. Once we saw the hotel and our room we booked two additional days. When I spoke to the desk clerk, she suggested I book the two additional days on Expedia since the rates were better than she could offer me. Great experience.

“Nice, well located place to stay”
Very nice place to stay and well located with easy walk to central town and the main drag of restaurants/clubs.
“Superb hotel in downtown”
This is a top-notch hotel which deserves its 5 star rating. The rooms are very comfortable, and the facilities are excellent. The staff provide superb service. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and does serve typical North American options. In addition the location is ideal for being downtown. Its only a short walk to many great restaurants, and the main plaza.
“A lovely place to stay!”
Over all our experience of this hotel was wonderful & we would go back again! But we had a couple of negatives which is why I only gave it a 4 in the rating. Positives first: Nice breakfast, great helpful staff, free wine tastings available in the evenings, nice decor & very lovely rooms! Perfect location for being central & on a quiet street, so no noise seeps into the rooms. A lovely place to stay. Negatives: Firstly the gym & pool were closed as they were mid-process of a refurb, so they were sending their guests to their sister hotel, The Executive, a couple of blocks away. Their gym was disappointing, small, minimal equipment and not everything was working, so pretty poor as a back up! It appears that the Diplomatic usually has a very nice gym area & the pool looks great, so it was a shame that this happened during our stay. Secondly, we organised a trip to the Hot Springs Spa & some how our booking (via the hotel concierge) didn't make it to the Spa. Luckily the spa had space for us when we arrived anyway, so they let us go in. Everything else the Concierge did for us was perfect, so it was a shame this happened. Finally the internet in the rooms was very temperamental & often frustrating, but the hotel did eventually send someone to check our connection & it improved. The internet in the lobby and dinning room is much faster so if you are happy with that then you will be ok. Overall a good place to stay and we do recommend it!!
“Mendoz”
Outstanding restaurant, good location, close to good restaurants, the Plaza Independencia and the center but far enough away from the center. Great view of the Andes if you book a room on an upper floor. Very helpful and friendly staff
“Pleasant and spacious”
Nice hotel for businessmen and families. There are no noisy parties going on, since they don't have casino-gambling inside.
