“Great location!”
All in all a pretty decent place to lay your head. Staff was nice, room was clean and it was located in a nice area near stores and restaurants.
“Great deal, cold bed, missing table.”
The hotel was a really great deal thank to Expedia. My only gripe was the table was missing on my side of the bed so I could not put anything down, and that was a hassle. The other thing was the bed was not very warm! I mean I was expecting a lot more in a northern coast town in winter but I became very cold in the middle of the night because there was no more than the top thin blanket and a sheet.
“Recommended for families”
We planned to spend time outdoors and just needed somewhere acceptable to crash, hence a motel instead of more pricey options. We had a double queen room. It was clean and well maintained, possibly recently renovated.
The location is convenient - on Main St, near a Safeway, an on-premises diner with a 10% discount to guests, next to the Noyo river bridge with an upstairs patio, luckily with an unobstructed ocean view since there's nothing across the street.
I'd seen other reviews that the rooms were cold with thin mattresses so we took along an extra blanket but the A/C was more than adequate and the mattress was definitely acceptable.
Options on the TV were limited but adequate - the usual compliment of news and movie channels and cartoon network for kids.
Internet service was stable enough for multiple episodes of
“Positive report”
The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The desk clerk was especially helpful in recommending places to eat and drink.
“Convenient and reasonable value”
This motel style hotel was in convenient location on the main road but far enough back so as not to be noisy. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is limited and you have to take it back to your room. Take a 10 minutes walk down the hill to the harbour for some good restaurants. Overall good value and no complaints.
“Roadside Motel - ok, but nothing Special”
This is a roadside Motel, directly on Route 101. The Overall Hotel is Fine, but nothing special, but everything is ok. There is a Gas Station and a decent eating Place on the premises. Room prices are too high.
“Good for one night”
Stuff was friendly, room was small but OK for one night. Only there was bad air in the room.
“Nice check in staff - bad everything else”
We recently stayed at the Super 8. I booked the room because I couldn't find any other rooms available for that time on short notice. I had never stayed at a Super 8 before this. The staff when we checked in were friendly and very nice. Check in was easy and completed quickly. Sadly, that is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. At the price of over a hundred a night I would have expected a little more. We had to stay here for two nights because I pre-paid. We put the card on the bed that indicated we wanted the sheets changed, but the maid didn't change the sheets. It was these type of cheap, dirty economy measures that make this place so awful. There were only two pillows on the bed, (Asked for two more and the nice staff gave us two more, although personally I think I shouldn't have had to ask) only two bath towels in the bathroom. I had to use a hand towel so that my wife could dry her hair. I have never even stayed anywhere (except Motel 6) that only gives you two bath towels. The bathtup didn't drain well, the toilet didn't flush well. The rooms are really small. I mean REALLY small. Totally ruined the trip to the coast for us. The Perko's next to this hotel is not that great either.
“Pass This One Up”
You might want to pass this hotel by - keep moving until you find a bigger room, bed, and warmer hearts in the lobby when you check in. Very small room, a bed that was supposed to be a queen, but the smallest queen I've ever slept in, and a front clerk who barely smiled or showed any concern about our experience. You will enjoy the little brown towel you will have on your sink, warning you not to use the white towels if you plan to leave dirt or makeup on them. Took us five minutes to figure out how to make the lights around the bed work - the switch had to be jiggled just right. Our best moment here was leaving.
