“St Jude Marathon”

I ran in the St. Jude Marathon, along with several other guests at this hotel. The standard checkout time was 1100. The marathon began at 0800. The hotel normally charges a late fee if you check out past the standard time. However, realizing that none of us would be through with the race and back to the hotel in time for checkout, they waived the late fee for race participants. While they need to consider replacing many things inside the rooms and adding a few more amenities (a shuttle to the race location would have been great) for the price, it provided what I needed. A place to get a good nights rest before the race. However, security would have also been nice to silence the late night partiers who insisted on bringing their noise out into the breezeway for the sleepers to hear.

“Never Again”

Once we finally navigated the difficult entry into the motel, check in went smoothly, then we were directed to a room that had a very noticable sloped floor. We found that the sattelite was out of order and we only had three tv channels and they were not even the least bit clear, the toilet in the bathroom ran every 5 minutes throughout the night, and could be heard even with the door closed. We asked to have the front desk call a cab to take us to dinner and we waited for over 20 minutes with no sign so called the front desk back and they called again and when it got there the company they used drove cars that were literally falling apart, with drivers that were less than satisfactory, it was a scary cab ride to dinner! We were returning home through Memphis a week later and decided to book a different motel, we will never again stay at a Red Roof Inn, especially not the one in Memphis!

“Filthy - even for budget”

As a frequent budget traveler - this place is FILTHY and a huge waste of money. Next to no housekeeping and a useless 800 number. Do not let the lobby fool you. Any price is outrageous for that SQUALOR. There are much much better choices - even at a chaper rate and in the same area. Do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR!

“dirty”

it was very dirty, very noisy, and uncomfortable. we actually left a day early to get out of there
