Really beautiful, clean hotel. Rooms are a combo of mid-centrury modern and minimalistic. Seem to be renovated. I thought it was really lovely and it was right across (5 mins walk) from the station and the airport express bus.

The property's history was very cool and beautiful. The bed was comfy. However, the service was mediocre at best. Our room was not stocked well or replaced when cleaned. We had to keep asking for things. The shower is the smallest I've ever seen with a half wall no door - water went everywhere. We stayed in other hotel chains along the way in our 2 week Aussie adventure and all out did this hotel including Holiday Inn Exp Adelaide. The breakfast is the same every single day and blah with the staff a bit stuffy to you. Most hotels we visited were cheery but not this one.

Wonderful small hotel in Melbourne CBD. Rooms are large and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. The staff was attentive and very helpful. Across the street from Southern Cross Station and one block to Sky Bus station for transportation to/from Melbourne airport. With free use of public transportation within the CBD, landmarks, attractions, and restaurants are easily accessible when not within walking distance. Great stay.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff all friendly and accommodating. The area around is quite busy but in a perfect location. A few things to note, the quality of the room clean wasn’t the best and I don’t believe we got the best deal on parking and could have got this cheaper paying directly, lesson learnt on my part. Overall I think this is a lovely hotel and would stay again!

Great hotel in fantastic location
Stayed for 5 nights in January. Great location across the road from Southern Cross station - very handy if getting the Skybus to the airport. Staff were friendly and efficient. Very nice lobby area. Rooms were a good size. Really enjoyed our stay - would definitely stay here again.

Wish there was automatic doors at entrance . Easier to get through with bags. Also rooms with walk in shower. But at least has grab bar. Beautiful and spacious, definitely be back

Small things can be a BIG problem
As always, we found the Air-con very user UN-friendly & not having a room compendium or a room service menu very difficult for people of our age. WE ALSO CANT UNDERSTAND why the $50 dep is not subtracted from our account and takes over 1 week to be refunded. We have stayed there many times but not any more. Simply because of the above reasons

I usually stay at the Movenpick next door but thought I would try the Savoy. Unfortunately for a similar price the Savoy offers a lot less. The room was small and tired. There were marks on the sheets and rubbish under the beds that had not been removed from the last guests. The shower head sprayed water everywhere flooding the bathroom. There was no card access to enter the lifts/access guest floors so it felt a little less secure than other hotels. They were few amenities in the room - no robes, slippers, complimentary water etc. When I asked about water I was told to purchase canned water from the mini bar and rudely told tap water is safe to drink in Australia. Which I was aware however chilled filtered water is generally available complimentary in hotels rather than having to drink out of the bathroom tap.

Clean property with some lovely architectural features. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a lot to choose from. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the near vicinity.
