“Great friendly experience”

My daughter and I had a great time. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and we found Melbourne to be one of the most tourist friendly places we have been to. definitely recommend it .

“Would Recommend - very central”

We required a wheelchair access room and made notes regarding this in our booking request. As I had not heard anything I called the hotel. They put aside both types of rooms (access and usual) and said we could decide upon arrival. The manager was extremely helpful and did everything he could to make us comfortable. We ended up choosing the usual room as it was spacious and we were staying 10 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable.

“Close to shopping, transportation, and sites.”

Would have liked to have stayed longer... such a nice place in a great location. Valet was very nice to keep the car close at hand since we departed VERY early the next morning!

“Great Accommodation in the Heart of the City”

On a recent trip to Melbourne we stayed at this hotel. The location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city. We arrived at 11am and were granted early check-in. Our room was on the 9th floor looking straight out into the city and bustling Swanston St below. We had a separate lounge area, bedroom & bathroom and we'd only booked a basic room. We were also granted a late check out the following day for no extra charge. I would highly recommend this hotel (as we already have to our friends) and will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Melbourne.

“we will return”

after reading negative reveiws on this site prior to our departure we were worried,however,we were very happy when booked in.location excellent,accomodation very good,staff good,gym excellent,cocoon bar most enjoyable.only negative was our steak meal in the restaraunt both wre very tough other than that the grand mercure swanston was a very enjoyable experience.
