My husband and I arrived at 2:05 and the check in was supposed to be at 2PM. The man at the front desk told us that the cleaners are still ‘cleaning’ the room and that they’d be half an hour, so my husband and I waited for 35-40 minutes in the lobby.
As now our room was finally ‘clean’, the man at the front desk said that a $50 deposit was needed, but whilst booking, saw NO INFORMATION on the need for a deposit. He explained all the rules of the hotel to us very rudely and then finally gave us our keys after almost an hour of waiting.
The room was small and drab with dirty kitchen/bathroom walls, dirty tea towels and a broken sink that leaked all over the bathroom table. Our room was advertised as having a “balcony”. First of all, the ‘balcony’ had an air conditioner that took up 60% of the small ‘balcony’ space. And secondly, not only were the blinds mangled and broken, passer-byers could easily see through the 10cm gaps of the blinds, which was really uncomfortable. Also, the table in the room was lob-sided, and the mirror was filthy.
The bathroom was crammed and small and smelt of grime, and the ‘shampoo’, ‘body-wash’ and ‘conditioner’ all smelt like dish-washing liquid.
Extremely unhappy and disappointed with the customer service, the quality of this hotel and overall experience. This place is so unclean, I didn’t even feel that comfortable sleeping directly on the sheets.
