“The Grand was GRAND indeed”

WOW! A beautiful historic building with tastefully decorated suites. The old Railway Administration Building, right next to the train tracks, the sound proofing is superb.Conveninetly located right in the heart of the city, tram stop at the door, bottle shop accross the road. Walking distance to everything. Fantastic beds, spacious suites, quiet, great service, loved the decor. We will definatley be staying again.

want to hire a car? do it thro the hotel it will be delivered and picked up to the hotel travel by train to Melbourne and WALK to the hotel.

“Great historic hotel downtown”

Very nice duplex in Melbourne downtown, close to the Casino and restaurant on the river. Did not like the pool, hard to access and water too cold for the kids even in summer! Breakfast is not a buffet which is not easy with the kids. Great staff Overall good because we had a great rate

“The Grand Hotel is one of Melboune's best.”

My wife and I along with a female companion were visiting Melbourne for the Australian Open and stayed at The Grand Hotel as we required a 2 bedroom apartment.The Grand Hotel is "Grand" in many ways, the rooms are large and spacious, the staff polite and curtious and the location is "Spot - on". Tram connections are right outside the door and to get to different locations within Melbourne is so easy. We would stay there again.

“Best location for going to the Australian Open venue”

Located at the corner of Flinders Street and Spenser St. Very convenient for the Tram transportation around town. Closed to the airport bus stop at the Southern Cross station. Excellent breakfast at the hotel. Rooms are large compares to the chain hotels. However, the rates are a little higher than the chain hotels too. But we like the quiet, friendly and boutique atmosphere of these hotel. We certainly will stay at this place again for the Australian Open.

“One of the city's best !”

An excellent hotel, however a bit far from the CBD and the food areas. The inhouse restaurant was however very good and both sevice and quality of food were of a high order. One small downside, the signage for the pool and spar need to be updated and more accurate
