“Comfortable & inexpensive”

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean & comfortable BUT was way too small for all the furniture that they stuffed into the room. We are not large people by any means so it was annoying that one could not navigate through the room without weaving or leaning. Cannot imagine a large person even getting past the armoire which partially blocked the entry to the room. All right for one night but would not be able to stand it longer.

“Check in Drag”

I was an hour early before check in and the desk clerk would not give me a room. It was 100 degrees outside and I had just traveled 6 hours and was stressed and exhausted. I headed back out to my car and turned around to see if i could get change to buy a soda in their machine. By this time, another desk clerk was off the phone and said to my desk clerk, "you could give her room #___, it's ready. Desk clerk #1 said, "I don't think so". I said, please check, I would be very appreciative if I did not have to sit in my hot car for an hour to check in. Desk Clerk #2, said, "it's ready" - go ahead. Desk Clerk 1 begrudgingly gave me a key. The room was stale smelling, but appeared relatively clean. The bed was the cheapest mattress I've ever slept on. The trim along the edge of the mattress was rolled in and I could feel every spring. I could barely sleep all night. Not a good experience. And there are better hotels in Ashland for the same price. I just made my reservations too late.

“nice for the price”

Booked a trip last minute to see my son at Southern Oregon University, great price for a cheap place last minute. The only drawback I stayed on the 3rd floor and no elevator. If you have heavy luggage and can't carry it, ask to stay on another floor. I had a small carry-on so not a problem.

“Motel 8”

It's Motel 8 so I don't expect much and that what I got. It's need to be updated and fixed up. The sheets were the thinnest I've ever slept on and the carpet, blanket, bedspread all seemed way too used and grimy. Hey, you get what you pay for but I've decided I'm not staying there again. I just want a little more comfort. But for what you pay it's all right.

“Motel o.k. breakfast terrible”

The room was fine, needed to be vacuumed better, hair in bathroom. Main thing was the terrible "continental breakfast" which consisted of a bagel and OJ. Where's the fruit or cereal?

“Good if you're not in the room much.”

It was okay for a few nights. The room was a little cramped and very musty. But it was very clean and reasonably priced.

“It has the necessities and great customer service.”

I was alarmed to discover that the peephole in my door was missing. Instead, there was tissue paper stuffed in the hole to prevent anyone from looking in. But the guy at the front desk made something to cover the peephole until they could fix it. It was promptly fixed the next day. The motel wasn't glamorous but it had everything I needed: a bed, a bathroom, free parking, continental breakfast, a refrigerator and mocriwave, and an excellent location.

“Expect no frills”

Considering the congested streets of Ashland, the Super 8 in this town provides easy and plentiful parking. Bathroom had only one bath towel, so the second party had to use a hand towel after showering. The bed seemed a bit lumpy and was furnished with only two rather skimpy pillows. Continental breakfast was good, though it included (as usual for such offerings) no protein items.

“Basic, but OK.”

A decent place for the money. Not fancy, but not bad.
