“Will be looking for InterCity's wherever I travel!”

We expected a no-frills kind of place, but was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, large, and included amenities such as a stocked fridge (with item prices that were not inflated whatsoever). Besides the bonus of being 300 feet from the Main Train Station, the hotel looked over a cute little market place, and is located very close to an amazingly pristine lake, The Pfeffenteich. The distance from the hotel to the castle and other main tourist destinations is one mile or two, but with plenty to do or see on the way if walking is not a problem for you. And, if you prefer not to walk everywhere, the hotel gives you a complimentary all-travel ticket so you can use the buses or trolleys throughout the city during your stay! We preferred to walk since the weather was beautiful, but if you plan on using city transportation services, this could save you a few bucks. The hotel staff was very friendly, there was a nice bar and the breakfast buffet (though extra money) was wonderful. The bar area was a little too smokey at times, but that may just be parts of Europe in general. The hotel also has a couple of elevators and my (limited) experience tells me this may be somewhat rare in Europe. Most of the staff members spoke English fluently. The bed was comfortable, but we wished we had another pillow each. Everything else was great!
