“Allegheny Alumni Visitor”

The breakfasts are especially tasty and have great selection too. The charm of the house is really in the little details of historical decorations that she has everywhere. As a former college student, I never thought I'd be coming back to visit, but I enjoy it and make a point of making reservations with Mayor Lord's any day over the local chain hotels. Much better to support a local business anyway! Plus unlike the chain motels, Mayor Lord's is within walking distance of the all the downtown businesses and bars! I can't find a reason to NOT stay there really!

“Will definitely go back!”

When I first arrived the owner was there to assist me and to make me feel welcome. The house was decorated with antique furniture everywhere. Everything was extremely clean and organized. I was amazed how she paid attention to every detail, including a bottle of water by the bed at night and the extra down comforter. I slept like I was at home. The breakfast was very good, not the normal buffet you get, but delicious wholesome foods. Her company was not overbearing but pleasant. I will come back the next visit I have in town.

The inn was exceptionally clean. The innkeeper, Sherri, is very cordial and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would go back again.
