“Ok, but wouldn't stay there again.”

The room was nice and clean as was the entire hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The downs were: on the side we were on you could hear a fair amount of freeway noice, there were several guests and children talking and screaming quite loudly in the hallways late in the evening and on our last night there, the maids took our dirty towels and failed to leave clean ones. I didn't notice this until I got out of the shower and had to try off with a hand towel.

I had a much better experience at the Holiday Inns than Hilton, which was very surprising. This must have been a top notch hotel 40 years ago, but it has not been updated. The bed was old, the mattress had a deep depression on the right hand side. I would call it a hole. Should have been replaced years ago. Only one god towel, other towels were gray from overuse and disgusting. Water faucet was loose from wall, temperature control bad - could not get any cold water. Bathroom did not have any ventilation, mirrors fogged up. Service desk was surly and snobbish. Room service was unavailable/unresponsive. Had to call front desk. Their reply? Well of course service is unavailable; it's good Friday, a holiday... As if people never went on vacation on holidays... Not even a bottle opener in the room, let alone an iron & ironing board. Breakfast was mediocre and charged separately; not a complimentary breakfast like the Holiday Inn. Half again as expensive as the Holiday Inn.
