El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel offers 294 guest suites in a 28-story tower. Most include ocean-view balconies. A few have no balconies but instead feature unit-wide windows with close-up ocean views.
Fully equipped kitchenettes come with two-burner cooktops, microwaves, toaster ovens, refrigerators, blenders, and coffeemakers. Suites provide a casual, contemporary ambience featuring pale-yellow cabinets and furniture, orange upholstery, gold drapes, green-and-gold bedspreads, tan-marble floors, knobby-textured white walls with terra-cotta accents, and marble-lined bathrooms. Ceiling fans provide a cooling alternative to suites' air conditioning.

La Concha - Spacious restaurant with wood floor, ocean-view glass walls, tiered seating under a large, elaborately thatched palapa, and an oceanfront terrace. Open for buffet breakfast and à la carte lunches and dinners. Lunch choices such as sandwiches, salads, soups, burgers, barbecued pork ribs, pasta, shrimp, Mexican specialties. Dinner choices include shrimp paté, smoked salmon, lobster bisque, salads, fish, shrimp, lobster, steaks, and prime rib.
La Conchita - Casual bar under thatched-roof palapa with swim-up-bar side. Open mid-morning to early evening for shrimp, ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fish, and tropical drinks.
Recreation
A freeform activities pool measuring approximately 46 by 30.5 meters (150-by-100-ft) features a massive rock garden with a waterfall and a 12-meter (40-ft) water slide. An adjacent children's pool includes a 3-meter (10-ft) water slide and at the other end, a swim-up bar for adults. A 27.5-by-15-meter (90-by-50-ft) "quiet pool" on the hotel tower's north side is styled like a mountain pool complete with rock-garden waterfalls and stream. The rock garden above the pool includes a 12-meter-wide (40-ft) swimming section and a 15-person spa tub.
Furnished with thatched-roof palapas for shade, the hotel's beach frontage extends 150 meters (492 ft). Water-sports rentals include boogie boards, kayaks, personal watercraft, and small sailboats. Also available for surcharges are parasail flights, banana-boat rides, snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions, and scuba-diving instruction.
Guests enjoy access to the El Cid Golf & Country Club across the street, where there are 27 holes of golf and a driving range. Also available for surcharges are nine clay and hard-surface tennis courts (two lighted) and racquetball/squash courts. The club includes a fitness center (surcharge) with cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. The fitness center offers workout classes (surcharges) such as step aerobics, yoga, adult and children's jazzercise, and adult and children's tae kwon do. The club includes complimentary women's and men's locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms and a 25-meter (82-ft), four-lane lap pool.

“Highly reocmmend”
This is our second time at El Cid Moro - we stayed at Marina previously and loved the property, but it wasn't busy enough for us so we moved to Moro. The pools are great and lively with the staff being very attentive. The rooms are a bid dated, but who really is in their room much? Great location to everything in Mazatlan! All Mazatlan has to offer is just a pulmanea ride away!

“Will Definitely Return”
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the El Cid Moro Beach Hotel. The resort is great from its food, service and beautiful view of the Pacific. In addition, the City Tour and Copola Tour are must trips for any first time visitor to Mazatlan. They can be taken right from the door of the hotel.

Excellent beach hotel in Mazatlan. Ive been to this hotel numerous times in the last 15 years. Great amenities at this hotel, excellent beach, pool, numerous waterfalls in pool, and 2 swim-up bars. I read the other reviews from people whining about people selling on the beach, and the timeshare hawkers - bottom line is that they're not allowed in the hotel. Im a flightcrew member for a major US airline and stay in hotels all over the world - definitely one who can compare hotels in a hurry. This one is two thumbs up.
“Awsome hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
El Cid Moro was perfect. We enjoyed our big suite room, very spacious, 2 bathrooms, 3 beds, balcony with view of the ocean and pool. The staff was somewhat friendly. The girl at the Front Desk didnt explain anything. The time share people were a bit annoying. The restaurants were very good. The 3 pools were awsome as well as the beach just below it. Transportation was cheap. Business center was very helpfull and affordable. The shops next to the hotel were very expensive. Room service was a bit expensive. Overall i would definetly recommend this hotel to others. Its perfect for families. We would definetly go back.

“El Cid El Moro”
Part of a large complex, the El Cid El Moro is a 25 floor hotel overlooking the beach and swimming pools. Most staff are bi-lingual, and the European suite rooms were more than enough room for us and our two young adult children. The suite is actually two rooms -living room/kitchen and big bedroom - with two bathrooms, one having a huge shower. The living room has another full size pull out bed. Mattresses were pretty hard but that's our only complaint. Food at the restaurant was good and affordable. Need to go down early in the morning (8:30 - 9:00 am) to get a preferred lounge space or beach space.
