False picture of view from room!

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: We loved the staff, pool, restaurants, access to the beach and the shuttle!
Cons: The rooms with the cement walls need to have tall chairs to see the view and add some colorful live flowers in pots! It felt like I was in a basement!
Location: Location is wonderful! Any kind of water sport is available on site! Free shuttle to towns nearby!
We paid extra for an upgrade. It was called the King ocean view escape. Still have no clue what the upgrade was. Our room was located on the second floor of bldg.#2. We had a large lanai/balcony facing the gardens/pool/ocean. The only problem with this balcony is you had to stand to see the views. If you sat in the two chairs provided all you saw was 4 feet of cement wall and a couple of the tops of palm trees. No color what so every just tan concrete. We had 8' glass door which was wonderful. They had a sheer curtain for privacy and then a heavier curtain to keep the light out if you preferred. The only problem with that was it was installed backwards. The curtain opened at the opposite end that the door opened. To sneak out (so as not to wake the person sleeping or changing clothes) you either had to wait or work your way through 8' of curtain. On the wonderful side the king size bed was very comfortable! The staff was amazing! We tried to change rooms but everything was booked! Next time I will call the hotel and ask for a room above the second floor. Also all of the ocean front rooms are reserved for the timeshare customers! So don't even think you will get the room with the view as shown on the websites!

Nice place. If you don't want to be around screaming kids stay at the north side. Employees were great all very helpful. The beach was great too.

Great for kids.

Wonderful week in Hawaii. Kitchens and outside grills help save $ on food costs. One guy renting umbrellas was a jerk but everyone else was great

Outstanding first vacation

Posted 5-Apr-2014
Pros: Professional, friendly and clean
My family and I had never taken a vacation of this caliber before. From upon arrival, we were treated with a staff that was very friendly and knowledgeable. The on site restaurants and bars were fantastic. The free shuttle service with the resort, was driven by informative staff taking us to most of where we needed to go. We are already thinking of our return trip!!

Lovely hotel and surroundings. Close to the beach

Posted 22-Mar-2014
Pros: Room cleanliness Room size Beautiful grounds Friendly staff Good food
Cons: The food-EXPENSIVE-parking charges-RIDICULOUS-valet parking-$12.00/day and regular parking $10.00/day. Westin owns the property! RIP OFF! Overkill!!!
Location: The property is right on Ka'anapali Beach - so many things to do on the island, you simply can't do them all - you need to be there for a month
We stayed at the West Ka'anapali for 10 nights and really had a pleasureable time. The grounds are immaculately groomed. The pools are clean and very, very nice. Our room was perfect for a family - full kitchen, huge bathroom, fantastic King size bed and the pull-out couch in the living area was great for the kids. We had a view of one of the pools - very nice. The beach was just a hop away from our room. We enjoyed all aspects of this property and wouldn't hesitate to book another 10 days here.

A nice hotel with narrow parking spots.

Posted 20-Mar-2014
Cons: Their parking space is too narrow. Not only it is difficult to get in and out in some areas, other people who are not careful hit your car and you can
Everything except their parking spots were nice and comfortable

It was amazing and very comfortable

The hotel was great, rooms were very spacious, the full kitchen n laundry in suite really helped. The atmosphere is very kid friendly, perfect for family vacations. Maybe not so much for lovebirds. We would definitely do this trip again

Great hotel!

Posted 10-Mar-2014
Pros: I loved the location, the room with a kitchen, the helpful smiling staff, and the convenient store was handing with groceries and Starbucks!
Cons: Nothing for me!
Location: Location was great. Just a few minutes to get into town. Nice beach and not super busy. You could boogie board, and paddle board. Snorkel etc.
Just spent 9 days at the westin villas, it was fabulous! The staff were all very nice and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The property and grounds were lovely. Would go back for sure!

Great family hotel

Posted 27-Feb-2014
This resort is perfect for family's with small kids. The pools are great for older kids and then there is a small child pool which is a pirate ship with slides and other fun stuff. Plus there is a playground next to the kid pool. I have children and his trip it was just my wife and I and it was still a great relaxing trip. I will defiantly bring my children to this resort.

Decent hotel, nothing great.

Seemed good for timeshare owners, not so good for visitors, especially the room options/view. Booked an ocean virew. First room was horrible, switched to another but both on floor two so minimal view of water due to foliage and right above pool/outdoor bar so noisy. Won't be back again!
