Great resort in Maui

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: The accommodation blocks are nicely spaced out while still retaining quite a bit of garden and green space
Cons: The signage around the resort. I had to ask three staff where I could find the gym due to it's overwhelmingly out of the way location (and poor signs)
Location: Day trips aplenty on and around the island, or drive yourself with a hire car, but the water and marine life is the real drawcard
The location of the Sheraton Maui is probably one of the best on the west coast. Great snorkeling and protected swimming around Black Rock, a short walk to Whalers Village (for food and shopping) and short shuttle bus ride into Lahaina. The sunsets over Lanai enhance the experience.

Not Bad Resort

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Cons: $35/day "resort fee" is a rip off......$30/person for breakfast buffet is outrageous. Off site Starbucks was just as good and only $11 for 2.
The Mai Tai pool bar hours were much too short, almost never open. Great beach location and snorkeling off of Black Rock.

Great facility for children and adults

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Pros: Great location to beaches.
Cons: Maybe adding a continental breakfast for all.
Location: Fun craft classes, great shopping at Whaler's, and great facilities for watching sports.
Great time, I just didn't expect all the resort fees at check out. Expedia did make us aware of the extra fees.

Sheraton Maui

Posted 14-Nov-2014
Pros: Location fabulous and even if you don't have a car, very easy to use their shuttle services to get around Lahaina and Kaanapali area.
Cons: Staff needs to coordinate with each other and to the Westin regarding restaurant hours, etc.
The staff at the Sheraton Maui very pleasant and accommodating. Maintenance very good--everything clean and tip top shape.

Excellent hotel right off the beach

Posted 13-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything...
Cons: More restaurants...
Location: Location is right on the beach at Black Rock. Activities include; swimming, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, diving off of Black Rock, snorkeling
The hotel is very nice and clean. Located on the north part of Kaanapali right at the Black Rock. We reserved a garden view room but it also came with an ocean view. Big balcony, spacious room with fridge. Really enjoyed staying there. Choice of restaurants is a little limited but Whalers Village is a short walk south and there's a lot of restaurants there. Also dining at the other hotel is a good choice. If you stay here definitely experience the Luau. Great food and a great show. Well worth it. The beach is perfect for snorkeling. We got to see the sea turtles and plenty of fish and marine life. If you want to see the turtles you should get out and snorkel around 7am. That's the best time to see them. The swimming pool there is really nice too. Plenty of seating around the entire pool area. This hotel is a must if you are looking to have a nice vacation. It is also very kid friendly.

Great hotel, great price and location

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, Great pools and facilities
Cons: Include breakfast on the price
Location: Old Lahaina is a must while you stay at Maui. Also rent a car and go to Paia, most beautiful town in Maui.
Went for our honeymoon and decided to stay at a nice hotel. Sheraton Maui was great for the occasion. Had dinner at the restaurant and they even treated us with a nice courtesy desert.

Great hotel and overall experience

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, great poolside food, beautiful beach.
Cons: An available food option past 10pm.
Location: Snorkeling in front of the hotel at Black Rock. Short walk to Whaler's village with restaurants, bars and shopping. Golf.
Stayed at the Sheraton with my girlfriend for 6 nights. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We only ate the bars poolside during the day, but the food was outstanding. The location is perfect with decent snorkeling available right in front of the hotel at Black Rock. Famous Ka'anapali beach was also a plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for any occasion. I would stay here again.
