Our stay was during the wildfires which was tragic. However I have encountered such a professional staff. They were kind, attentive and worked around the clock for guests, although their beautiful town was destroyed before our eyes. There was enough food for guests, charging stations and a lot of helpful information communicated throughout our stay. Kim, Ford and the rest of the Royal Lahaina crew were continually patient and hospitable. Before the fires started, this resort had everything you could want for your trip to Hawaii. The pools, ocean views, on site restaurant and amenities were fabulous! Best wishes to this incredible resort and the wonderful people who work there. You are in our thoughts!!!

Hands down the most AMAZING STAFF! they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during the Lahaina fires. so selfless Thank you all for your help your hard work did not go unnoticed. Ford was so great as well!

There was a lot of construction going on at the resort and I wasn’t made aware of it. Also, i was not made aware of the 40 dollar a day resort fee when I made my reservations

The hotel and the staff were absolutely wonderful!!!! We got upgraded to a beautiful ocean view room. The only downside is that the food offered in the restaurant is really subpar. I ordered nachos and it was canned cheese sauce slapped on top of chips haphazardly.

Beautiful resort on the beach with on-site availability to dining, bar, convenience shopping, etc. All staff positions were friendly and professional and saw that our needs were dealt with promptly. The ocean view from our lanai was excellent. We highly recommend the Royal Lahaina to any visitors to Maui.

It was a nice stay. Not sure it was worth the price but it was fun. The valet guys were amazing. The activity hut by the pool was very expensive and Jose the “boss” was less than appropriate. Making fun of the new guy Shawn and not having any idea what was going on. Shawn was great and very knowledgeable. Jose was aggressive and disrespectful. The room consisted of two beds a bathroom and a closet. I would expect more for $6000 a week. Plus $40 a night for parking and a ton of tax. We are at the hotel twice and had some drinks. $1400 on top of the $6k for a week. Pools were nice but pool side drinks were well liquor with premix. Basically what I could make in my room for $16 a piece. Virgin drinks were $15. Tasted like my son made them who’s 8. I had to unclog my sink by myself. Took it all apart but it was completely plugged with sand. Air conditioner, if you want to call it that, was less than adequate. Filter was plugged. Bandaid on the light under it kept it running. My room was never cooler that 76° set at 66 the entire time. To be able to sit at the beach in their “cabanas”, just chairs with a top, was $75 a day and they would just take it to the beach and throw it. We had to drag it a 1/4 mile down the beach to where our bungalow was located. All in all it was nice. But we won’t be back due to price and lack of amenities for said price. We had family staying at other locations for a lot less that had more options.

It would have been nice if they didn’t have a crew sandblasting the balconies next to our room. Noise was unbearable. Dust all over our patio. Didn’t care for their menu. Needs more of an island flair. Liked the classes they offered. Especially the hula and yujelele lessons.

Definitely not the Hawaiian hospitality I was looking forward to. I would say half the staff is friendly and nice and half are super rude and have no people skills at all. Restaurant had terrible menu choices because of some kitchen renovations they were doing. Hotel itself is ok but pretty outdated and dirty. Shower had some stains in the ceiling that did not look inviting, room had a moldy old type of smell, bed was very uncomfortable with a dent to one side. We stayed there before and it wasn’t as bad as this time was but as far as rudeness of some staff, it’s been this way every time we stayed. Would not recommend this hotel to family or friends.

We really enjoyed our stay. The best part was the ocean. Unfortunately to rent the umbrellas was quite expensive. However, the property itself is great and beautiful. We stayed at Bungalow but I’d recommend the main building due to bugs. Manager Gina was extremely helpful, professional and nice. One of the front desk ladies was slightly abrupt and made us feel unwelcoming upon check in and check out. We will definitely come back next time!

We enjoyed our stay at the property with easy access to the beach, shopping, and recreation. Our stay in the bungalows was nice, but they are in the process of updating the older buildings. We are looking forward to a return when the bungalows are all finished and updated.

I have stayed at this hotel before and love how pretty the grounds are. It is located on a great beach. This year however the bungalows are being renovated. I specifically booked the bungalow because I like the privacy and location. I was told at check in that they are not available. I was very disappointed. Don’t rent out rooms that you don’t have. The bungalows should not be listed as an option to rent during renovation.

Bait and switch!
Bait and switch! We prereserved a bungalow for our daughter annd son in law and got a great deal on your site. After checking in and taking our credit card, they informed us the bungalows were under construction. No warning prior to visit so we could have made other plans. Gave them a horrible room overlooking a parking lot. They upgraded for $400 a night which in effect negated the original deal. At checkout they tried to charge twice that and when my daughter explained that the commitment was $400 a night they told her she wasn’t very educated. Rude service, unethical behavior and terrible wifi.

I paid for a full ocean view room and received a partial ocean view and the hotel told me it was because of Expedia. Dosent make since to me. Hotel food was terrible, room was outdated. Not what I expected from the pictures and won’t stay again

I paid for an ocean view room. They stuck us in the last room of the hotel with a view of the parking lot and a building and a peak a boo view of the water. When i said this wasnt what i paid for they said, this is all we have. How do i get a refund for this trip? It was terrible and not what i paid for?

The resort is located next to a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunsets, has a very friendly staff and a very good (although bit inconsistent) restaurant. Generally a very nice play to stay, but with some caveats. On the negative side - the rooms feel pretty old (although we saw renovation going on in different parts of the resort so this might change for the better), and there are a lot of hidden fees that we didn't know about prior to our trip (lodging fee is high, you need to pay extra to park your car, there aren't any beach chairs on the beach - you need to rent them out, etc.).

Im sorry, Im not a person that complains but I was quite disappointed. I was not notified that the bungalows were under construction. The bungalow we stayed in, “H” was falling apart and came across a few water bugs :(…. While others were staying in a newly renovated bungalow, we were in a super outdated bungalow, dirty with bugs. The windows shutters were not secured and A couple of them fell apart. The glass window shutters were not staying open. To top it off it was so noisy because of the construction. I’m just sad.
