“Pretty OK”

Nothing outstanding, nothing terrible, just your basic decent condo.

Area recommendations
Prefer Lahaina area over Kehei. Its a very busy place in December, lots of traffic and beaches and pools very busy.

“Beautiful Maui Kamaole - loved our visit.”

Lovely condo! Everything we needed, very clean, easy to locate, and quiet. We felt as comfortable as if we were in a friend's home. Little personal touches gave the condo that homey feel. I would definitely request this condo again on a future visit to Beautiful Maui, or recommend it to a friend. The price was perfect, in fact, less than we have experienced in Florida for comparable condos. The location was great - close to third beach and to other snorkeling areas - close to necessary stores, such as grocery and equipment rentals.

Area recommendations
Kihea is lovely. We also liked Lahaina, and Weilea.
Getting around
Rent a small car. Rentals are very reasonable, but gas is high. Be sure to obtain good road maps because there are few to no signs (State Law). Roads for the most part are easy to maneuver and most are in good condition. Road/street signs are adequate, but in some cases poorly lit, making it harder to find places at night. Speed limit is lower than on the mainland, and drivers seem to be very courteous. The roads to Hana and up to Haleakula and very windy. You will probably need Dramine if you are in the back seat or sensitive to motion. But definitely worth the trip
What to pack
Minimally. Depending on what your activities entail you will need very little in the way of clothing. Pack a few pair of shorts and T's, bathing suits and cover-ups, hat, sun glasses and sandals. You might want something a little dressier if you plan to attend a Luau or such. The climate is lovely. It is colder on the plane. Haleakula (Volcano) is chilly at the top. If you go, take a warm sweater and walking shoes. Be sure to pack your camera.

“wouldn't rec to anyone”

If you are in to hiking to the beach and bbq'ing on a parking lot then this is the place for you. Had to leave and check in to a hotel for the last 3 days of our stay. The picture of the property "showed us the daughter and sold us the grandmother." Do not get caught they way we did.

“One of our best trips”

The condo was very clean, well stocked and in a great location. The neighborhood was amazing, we really felt at home staying here. We will tell anyone who is going to Hawaii to try their hardest to stay here, it is very much worth it.

See the sunrise and sunset on top of the volcano and must do the road to Hana.

“This is one of the best places to stay in Maui.”

My wife and I spent our tenth anniversary on Maui. This condo (H-106) has a great ocean view from the back patio. This was our first trip to Maui and guess what, we shall return. The only problem was our last night. A new guest moved in to H-206 above us and it sounded like, there was a football game was going on. That was the only problem. Great place to stay, the grounds are beautiful and the sunsets are amazing.

“Great Kihei Condo”

Been to Maui several times and this was our first in a condo (all 4 or 5-star hotels previously). Overall it was great. What I like best is the location. Maui Kamaole is in the southernmost part of Kihei, so it's really close to Wailea, Makena, etc. The complex is nice (has two pools) and a quick walk to Kam III beach & park. Only complaint was that our unit had no wireless Internet. And there were only 2 towels in the unit.

Wailea, Makena, Big beach.
Dining
Kihei Cafe for breakfast. Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea for lunch. Koiso for the best sushi dinner ever (call and make a reservation as they only have a couple tables).
Family-friendly activities
Rent scooters and/or two-seat "scoot coupes" from various Kihei outfits.
Outdoors or beach
Relax at Big Beach. Snorkel in Makena (access via Makena Beach & Golf Resort). Take an early morning snorkel trip to Molikini.

“4th time back!”

We really like these condos. Location, gardens, & views are excellent. All the personel at both Maui Kamaole and Maui Condo & Home were very helpful. We asked to change our unit a few days into our stay for one with better air conditioning and were given very curteous assistance by all the people at Maui Condo & Home to do so. (Special thanks to Matthew!) This made our stay much more enjoyable and was greatly appreciated. Will stay here again when we go back to Maui.

Area recommendations
Haleakale views, Kihei beaches, Maalea harbor, Lahaina town, up country Kula & winery areas. Eskimo Candy fish market & restaurant in Kihei is casual & very good fresh fish. Local farmers markets are excellent for fresh produce.
When to go
We generally travel in late spring and early fall to the islands. While this is not a good time for whale viewing, things are less busy and crowded which we prefer. Also, you can usually get better rates.

“Fabulous Home Away from Home in C-209”

Fabulous Home away from home in C-209 with all the amenities our family needed. The condo was fully stocked with boogie boards, snorkels, games, towels, bedding...anything you would need. People had left spices and a few staples in the cupboards.We left stuff too. A fully stocked kitchen, we only needed to buy food. Cleaners, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, garbage bags...all that stuff was provided.The walk to the beach was 5 minutes. Our lanai was spacious and a great place for breakfast every morning. We were close to the pool and the noise was cut off by 10 pm and all was silent. The grocery store was 10 mins away by car and Kahalui, where the Costco is located, was a 20 minute drive. Really convenient. We loved our central location to all Maui's sites. Yes food was a little more expensive about 20 % more. You might want to opt for chicken or pork in Maui because beef is 12.99/lb. Salmon was cheaper at 10.99/lb. We really enjoyed our stay and we are sure you will too. We will be back! The property is beautiful!
