“Modern chic hotel right on the beach”
The hotel is modern, chic and right on the beach. The on-site restaurant is an added bonus - although a bit pricy. Hotel has a nice pool too. We had a room - not a condo - which was nice though bit small, but always clean and tidy. The staff was helpful, and the location is unbeatable, one of the best in Wailea/Kihei area. Pleasant surprise: in-room wifi was free !
“Great Hotel on the Water”
This was a great hotel! Great beach area! Not a huge resort but very nice - we will definitely stay again when we go to Maui!
“Will be going back!”
We loved this hotel for our little family of 3. The waves were crashing outside our window, the room was clean & the hotel has a great open feel with beachfront views and a pool area. There is a little store on the property to purchase drinks, etc and the restaurant is delicious and elegant plating. We had a salad, with goat cheese and candied macadamia nuts with lilikoi dressing, house-made tomato bisque and fresh hawaiian butterfish.
“Mana Kai is Awesome can't wait to get back!”
It was Amazing and because of openness you could hear others conversation on the balcony. We checked in late and called staff and had to wait for staff to call us back. The view the staff and beaches are top notch you don't have to leave the hotel for anything other than activities a true one stop shop! We loved it! The resturaunt and bar staff are the BEST!!!
“Great place to stay”
This was our second stay at the Mana Kai Maui, we would recomend upgradding to the ocean side, it is worth the money to have a kitchen and deck to enjoy, on the hotel side we always had to leave the room to enjoy the views and sun but with the deck we could read, eat and drink without having to go out. The room was large and clean. The entire staff was always upbeat and helpful. We loved the convience of the Surf Shack for activity rentals. The beach is great for swimming with snorkling and paddle boarding in the mornings and good for boggie boards in the late afternoon. Mana Kia is situated to get the best views of the beach, ocean and inland all at once (ocean side rooms). We will be staying at the Mana Kai again.
“Simply loved the location - just THE loveliest beach view to wake up to”
Loved it! Great location - even without a hire car - shops and bars are easily accessible. Liked being able to decide whether to eat in or out, The best beach. Did not want to come home. KK
“Fantastic Location”
This is, by far, the best location to stay in Kihei! Located on a beautiful and incredibly clean beach, it is centrally located, making it easy to travel to West Maui, the Haleakala crater or the road to Hana. Beach has great snorkeling in the early morning and great boogie boarding surf in the afternoon. Definitely upgrade to the one or two-bedroom suite as you get a fantastic balcony with a view of the beach. Good restaurant on site with half-price appies at happy hour. Must try - passionfruit mojito - best drink ever! We were able to get them to give us a late checkout as our plane didn't depart until 10:30 - made all the difference on our last day. I would rent beach toys elsewhere. Go for the week rental and just put them in the trunk; you never know when you will feel the need! Sign up for the Redline snorkel trip. It isn't for the faint of heart as the boat goes FAST and bumpy, but it was fantastic. Five snorkel sites in one trip - worth the extra money. We ran into one of the other snorkel trip boats when we were out and it was a gong show: dozens of people with pool noodles, old surf boards etc. It seemed like the people just through out any floatation device and said - have fun. The Redline people were very professional and took us to great sites in a small group. Definitely worth the extra cash!
“Love it”
Condominium converted into hotel rooms when off season. Loved it
