Property Amenities
Occupying 17 acres on Maluaka Beach in South Maui's expansive Makena Resort, this five-story hotel curves around an open-air atrium of Asian-inspired gardens with koi ponds, streams, and waterfalls accentuated by meandering paths.
In addition to swimming and snorkeling at the adjacent beach, recreation options include 18 holes of championship golf, tennis (surcharge), a fitness center, and an outdoor splash pool with children's wading pool and spa tub.
The Makena resort has the Molokini Bar & Grille, which serves cocktails and pupus; Café Kiowai provides breakfast on a garden terrace; and Cafe on the Green is a casual spot for island lunch.
Meeting and special-event space includes a ballroom for 520 guests and six outdoor locations, most with ocean and garden views.
The Makena Beach and Golf Resort offers a complimentary resort shuttle service to select destinations, including Wailea shops.

Located in a five-story, A-shaped building, the Makena Beach and Golf Resort's 310 air-conditioned guestrooms open to a garden atrium and offer partial or full ocean views from furnished lanais.
Amenities include high-speed and wireless Internet access (surcharges), bathrobes (upon request), 27-inch TVs with premium channels, and in-room safes. The Makena hotel has compact refrigerators and coffeemakers that provide bottled water and coffee.
Rooms were renovated in spring 2008 with new artwork, larger beds, and new bedding.

Dining
Café Kiowai - Serving buffet and à la carte breakfast daily—including signature Eggs Benedict—on a glass-sheltered terrace with garden views.
Cafe on the Green - Overlooking the Makena Golf Course, the clubhouse is a casual spot for island lunch or pupus and drinks during sunset hours.
Molokini Bar & Grille - Serving tropical drinks and pupus in the evening, this sunset terrace features live island entertainment with hula music.
Poolside Snack Bar - A venue for casual fare such as sandwiches, salads, burgers, and tropical drinks. Open from mid-morning until late afternoon.
Barista 5400 - Offering Starbucks brand coffee drinks, grab and go breakfast and lunch items, and home-made sweet delicacies.
Recreation
Part of the 1,800-acre Makena Resort, the 17-acre Makena Beach and Golf Resort hugs a crescent of beach with calm ocean waters. Water-sports equipment rentals are available, including kayak tours, outrigger canoe rides, and paddle boards; a 46-foot catamaran (surcharge) sails from the beach to Molokini Islet, where some of Maui's best snorkeling can be found.
On-site facilities include an outdoor splash pool, children's pool, and spa tub. A fitness center provides free weights, strength-training equipment, and cardiovascular machines such as an elliptical trainer, stair machine, and treadmill.
The resort is home to an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Golf facilities include a driving range, putting green, and pro shop.
Adjacent to the golf course are six tennis courts (surcharge). Other activities include croquet, shuffleboard, table tennis, Hawaiian craft classes, volleyball, and fitness classes; fees may apply.
The property's Makena Ranch offers horseback riding with views of Makena from Mount Haleakala.

“Awesome Hotel!!!”
My husband and I stayed at the Maui Prince in July 2009 and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel! The room was great and the staff was so friendly. The view from our lanai was spectacular. The beach was awesome and the hotel provides towels and beach chairs for guests to use - that was a plus! We ate at the Molokini Bar & Grille in the hotel for dinner one of our nights and the food is delicious and the sunset views are beautiful. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Maui!

We loved this hotel. It is clean, the food is top notch, you are close to the beach and shopping. Don't forget your many choices for golf. We would definitely stay here again!
“Great Resort!”
The Maui Prince is a great place to stay. Rooms have been recently renovated. It's a quiet and secluded resort away from the busy crowded streets. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The pool and beach are wonderful. The resort food is also very good. You must attend the resort luau..wonderful entertainment. We will definitely go back!
“The best resort in Maui to relax.”
We had a King Size bed in the Honu room. Awesome view of the beach! Also, you have an awesome view of Mt. Haleakala from the resort. The room wasn't as big as I had imagined, but it was large enough. Besides, we spent most of our time out doing things. The resort had plenty of things for you to do if you aren't up for driving that day (massage specialists, one of the best beaches that is NOT overrun by tourists, luau, golf, etc). The staff was very accomodating and friendly. They have many services, too. I had a suit that needed dry cleaning and a good pressing. They picked it up from my room around 9 am, and it was back in my room that night when we got back. About 10 min drive from some nice shopping centers and some great restaurants. The one downside is the eateries at this resort. My wife loved the pizza, and their other dishes were okay. Not bad. But for the price, not the best. You can eat cheaper and better driving 10-15 minutes. All in all, the resort is located in a quiter area of the island, which was perfect for us. The view is unrivalled. The staff is friendly and will take care of you. I would definitely go back to this resort.

Rooms were large with great balconies. The beach front along this hotel was fantastic. Pool was nice. The open air foyer was large and beautiful. It felt like paradise. The hotel never felt crowded; very low key and relaxing.
“Maui Prince is outstanding !”
Maui Prince was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a nice resort for our honeymoon. Something a little private, out of the way, not alot of kids or noisy spring break types. Maui Prince delivered. The hotel grounds are stunning. The beach and view is beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't be happier with our experience.

Out of this world, friendly,beautiful,relaxing,it has been over ten years since I felt so welcomed and relaxed. Maui Prince is not only a five star to me it's a "ten".This vacation was my life's best. We will be going back yearly, to relax and rekindle our spirits.Life the way it should be..

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. The beach was only steps away from our hotel, and the hotel offered activiteis at a fair price. I would recommend a snorkel cruise on the Kai Kanai. In short we couldn't have had a better stay anywhere but the Maui Prince!
“Best value in Maui”
This hotel has the feel of the nicest resorts in Maui, and it's even located in the most luxurious area on the island for hotels (Wailea and Makena are right next to each other). The staff is always there for you, ready to pamper you whenever you need it. You can't go wrong with the scenery at the Maui Prince in any room you stay in. We stayed in a partial ocean view room, and had a nice view of the golf course and lawn area where the luau was, and it was gorgeous. The center of the hotel is as lush with plant life as anywhere on the island, and check it out at sunset, as many birds from the local area come here to rest. The only drawback we saw was that the shower could have been cleaner on the walls, but even then it was not that bad at all. I'd recommend the Maui Prince to anyone.
