Can’t say enough about the accommodations, the people were friendly, the grounds keep immaculate, and we used the barbeque almost every night. We stayed in building D which is located at the back of the property and was an easy walk to the beach.

“Great central location in Maui”

Just returned from week long stay. Great location in Kihei, right across the street from Kamaole II beach and a few hundred feet from Kamaole III beach, two of the best beaches on Maui. If you make it to the beaches early in the day you can avoid the tradewinds and blowing sands in the afternoons. The town of Kihei is loaded with restaurants, shops, and grocery stores, most within walking distance. Less than 30 minutes from Kuhului (airport), Lahaina (shopping, luaus), Paia (shopping, surfing). A few minutes south is Wailea and some great golf courses and high-end shops. South of the Wailea hotel district and hidden by trees, a dirt road will lead to Oneloa beach also known as Big Beach, our favorite beach.

“Maui Fun at Kiehi Akahi Condos”

I have been visting Maui for years now (too many too count) and the location of the Kihei Akahi could not have been better. The one bedroom condo we were placed in was definitely in need of some tender loving care and updating (actually we found out that the unit was up for sale), but all in all the grounds and workers within the complex were outstanding (special call out to the front desk staff). Word of caution though, we were in Unit C109 on the ground floor next to the elevators and garage chute (quite noisy) - so request another unit if you are sensitive to noise and smells. The Kihei Akahi is just steps away from Wailea and some of the best snorkeling spots on the island, just go early in the morning as the water is calm and the visibilty fantastic. If you plan to head over to the Lahaina, Kannapali, Kapalua side of the island....make it a day adventure so as to minimize the travel time to and from. All in all.....definitely would recommend Kihei Akahi condos for those looking for a nice place in a great location and I would advise the party goers (younger lads) to book their stay over on the Lahaina side of the island where there are places to kick up your heels at night and then walk home so as not to drink and drive.

“Location reason to come back”

The one thing lacking in the condo was cleanliness. The carpet was stained and the ceiling was covered in dust and dirt. We knew during our stay that we would be doing our own laundry, but didn't realize some of the basics aren't even provided...soap and toilet paper. Another thing that would be nice is to have cleaning supplies for the room, like toilet cleaner, tub and sink spray, etc. I would think this would benefit the condo as we would have used the supplies had those been provided. The location was the real highlight with the beach and shops right there. We didn't spend much time in the room.

“OK for the money.”

We had a late check in. This is a condo property. We had to phone for a code to get ito our room via a combination lock. Room was hot and stuffy due to being closed up. Closet in bedroom smelled musty due to being closed up. Once we opened up the windows and closet things improved. By the next day we were comfortable althought there were fans only, no AC. We were in building C on the 2nd floor. It was quite noisy at night. Conversations outside nearby seemed like they were in our room. We recommend building D, floors 3 or higher.

“Perfect!”

We stayed in D-615. The unit was gorgeous! We had an incredible view, comfortable beds, a functional kitchen and plenty of beach accessories. The owner has provided beach towels, beach mats, boogie boards and an umbrella. There were even a couple of small coolers. The beach across the street is beautiful and not too crowded. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

“Good place for families”

I've been there with my wife and 21-month old daughter and I think it is very convenient if you have small children. My apartment had all the equipment you can find in yours, including microwave oven, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. There was no crib but there was a sofa-bed. Beach is just across the street, shops and restaurants are close by.
