“Very clean and comfortable”

The condo we stayed in was privately owned so I don't know if they are all kept a nice but the condo we stayed in was very well maintained, clean and equiped. We had a great view from our large lanai of the beautiful grounds. The air conditioning was perfect for the design of the unit. The owners equiped the unit with, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and other related items that helped make our time in Maui fantastic. Thank you to the owners of our condo and the staff at Kamaole Sands for helping make our visit even more enjoyable.

“Best resort in Maui!”

Kamaole Sands is beautiful! The grounds are amazing, it's a short walk across the road to Kamaole III (beautiful beach!), and the condo was in excellent condition. We stayed in 7-109 which appeared to be newly renovated. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean, and the living room had a comfortable futon couch as well as a futon chair that also folded down. The lanai was roomy, with a four chairs, a table, and a lounge chair. The condo was fully equipped with everything you need - blender, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer. We did not see one bug of any kind! The closet contained boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a cooler, and beach toys! We met our neighbors, who were leaving that day, who gave us a bunch of water, food, etc. There was a mango tree right outside our door with fresh mangos every day! The pool area was awesome, with a wading pool for the little ones! A beautiful resort which we will definitely visit again!

“Great place to call home for a week”

At check in I was very excited to get to our condo & clean up so we could get out & enjoy the beautiful sunshine. I had read the previous reviews & knew that these condos were privately owned. I also knew I was to call in advance to get my own "special" entrance code to my condo. The check in desk is a totally different company and they were NOT going to give me ANY information. Before she gave me my personal envelope that contained my "special" code and other helpful information that was left there for me from the outside company, she made me confirm to her that I had called in advance and that I had followed the instructions. If I wouldn't have given her the right answers I doubt she would have helped me. Even though she knew good & well the code was in the envelope. Lucky for me I did what was instructed. All the grounds keepers & pool staff were really wonderful. Front desk people seemed to be a little 'high and mighty'. This minor interaction did linger. The condo was perfect. Clean, stocked, modern. We stayed in condo 5-406A. I will request this one again. great view. Boogie boards to use. the room also had a special internet connection i just needed an ethernet cable, which i didn't bring but I will next time. I was quiet and comfortable. AC worked really well. The grounds were well maintained and gorgeous. Can't wait to go again.

“very impressed”

After reading some of the other hotel reviews I was apprehensive about what I was getting my family into - all of the virtual tours look so good but reviews were mediocre to awful! Kamaole Sands was GREAT! Apparantly the condos we stayed in weren't connected with the Front Desk folks - different owners - but the only thing I would have wanted from them was an extra key and I was so busy with all that vacationing has to offer that I didn't want to spend any extra time finding them. I don't know if they are on grounds or not but they give you a number to reach them at. The grounds were immaculate, the pool area was great, the rooms we stayed in were very clean, decorated nicely with alot of little personal touches, and well stocked with everything from towels and beach toys to blenders, toasters, and every utensil to cook MORE than a 7 course meal. The pool guy was kind of a nerd - got on my nerve bossing kids that weren't really doing much of anything but you know how giving a whistle to some folks can change them forever. Right across the street is an absolutely beautiful beach with grills and picnic tables and playgrounds and sunsets. Many little strip malls are within walking distance and certainly all other major attractions are easily accessable as Kihei seems to be fairly centrally located. I can't see how you could not have an absolutely wonderful time.

“Condo, the only way to go”

We were extremely pleased with our room/stay at the Kamaole Sands. During our stay, we found out all rooms aren't alike, as many if not all, are privately owned. We got a really great room. Building 3 room 307. Even if we had a different room, I think we would have been very satisfied. (Building 4 looked the least desirable as far a location and view) While booking our trip, looking at the 2 star hotels and reading the feedback I was uncomfortable, so I moved to a 3 star, as we were not interested in resorts. I'm glad we did. The Kamaole Sands would be great for families as well. We do plan on going back next year.
