Staff is outstanding!Posted 5-Jul-2014
The hotel is under renovation so they have gone out of their way to provide alternative accommodations. Such as beach access at the Grand Wailea' swimming pool usage at The Fairmont, and massage specials at the Grand Wailea. We were extremely pleased with our stay.

Renovated suite was beautifulPosted 3-Jul-2014
Pros: We loved the renovation. It looks great! We mostly love the kitchen and the bathroom.
Cons: The bathroom can definitely be improved. It smelled like the sewer.
Location: It's pretty close to some local shops, but not walking distances in my perspective. Eating-monkeypod is delicious!
We stayed at hotel wailea for 2 nights and the newly renovated suite was outstanding! We loved the lanai. We traveled with our 16 month old daughter so it was important to us that we had a suite and that worked out great when she needed to nap. Our room was pretty far from the lobby, so it was pretty quiet, even with all the constructions going on because they are still renovating their hotel and pool. It had a Kitchen, full refrigerator, microwave, and more. The bathroom was gorgeous! Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom, however, smelled like the sewer, so we kept the bathroom door closed at all times. Staffing-all very friendly and kind. Very prompt with their services and gave us rides to our hotel room because it was so far from the lobby and parking. We called for crib set up and they set it up very quickly. We went to maui for our wedding, so we were also greeted with champagne which was very nice! Cons-we didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities because they were renovating their pool and other rooms, but we were given vouchers to use the pool at the fairmont hotel and we did go there. The pool at hotel fairmont wAs very lovely, but we would still much rather enjoy the pool at our hotel instead.

Awesome, beautiful and very friendlyPosted 27-Jun-2014
The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. My boyfriend and I have no negative things to say, even when though the pool was/is under renovations they still had pre planned with another hotel and their pool use. We love the Wailea Hotel and would definitely come back and stay again! So beautiful and clean!

Outstanding servicePosted 21-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
We were staying an extra night in Maui and found the Hotel Wailea - we were so happy we did! Our flight did not leave until 9 pm the next night and they took great care to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. They even had a hospitality suite that we could use to shower and get ready after we had checked out of our room before we headed to the airport. Super friendly. Updated rooms that were spacious and comfortable with beautiful amenities. I'd highly recommend it even though it is not right on the beach (they do have a "beach club" and a shuttle to get you to the beach).

Wonderful resortPosted 19-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
We loved hotel wailea. The apartments are simply gorgeous and the service excellent. It is also great value for money as it is in comparison much cheaper than other five star hotels on the islands. The Italian restaurant at the hotel is amazing!!! Would definitely go back.

Stunning viewPosted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: Our renovated room was top notch. The layout was excellent and comfortable.
Cons: The pool was being renovated so that was a major drawback. They took us to nearby Kealani to swim so that was fine.
Location: There is a first class restaurant in the hotel which was lovely.
The hotel is not on the beach, but the view is gorgeous, especially great at sunset. If you want to go to the beach they will take you there with umbrellas, etc. and not that far to walk either.

Great hotel, great location, wonderful staff. The only complaints I had was that the pool was newly being fixed, so we had to go down to the hotel by the beach for a pool, and the hot water was limited to 50 gallons. Once the water tank was exhausted,, the water would become cold, though it wasn't so bad, as it was pretty warm outside anyway. Otherwise, this was the best hotel I've stayed at.

Misrepresented bed arrangement, but awesome yoga!Posted 17-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel Wailea is a beautiful resort with gorgeous sunset views, built in a quiet neighborhood and sufficiently close to eateries. The hotel is undergoing phased renovation, and we stayed in one of the renovated units. The suite was very comfortable and luxuriously appointed with new flooring, appliances, lighting, furniture and fixtures. The view from the deck was tremendous right out to the ocean (though not on the beach). the resort was much quieter and less chaotic then the mega resorts on the beach, a welcome respite after hanging out at the beach during the day. the lobby area is spectacular; I spent hours reading and looking at the view. However, pool is under construction, you may not get the beds you want, there is no music or DVD player, and the bath suite needs 1 more door if kids are involved. Yoga on premises was awesome!!!!

Almost a perfect experiencePosted 2-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Check in was flawless and the front desk lady was really nice and friendly, check out however was a bit of let down, the girl at front desk probably wasn't in a good mood but it could have been more professional. Overall a good stay and nice view (you will be impressed) from the room.
