“Nice Resort!”

Really nice one bedroom condo! Washer and dryer made it great that we didn't have laundry to do once we returned home! Room had snorkel equipment, a cooler, beach mats and beach umbrella that made our stay even better. Very comfortable big bed. Quiet surroundings. Only thing I didn't like was that the front desk personnel and after-hours housekeeping staff were kind of rude and condescending. Grounds keepers were very polite. But over all, I would highly recommend and would stay there again!

“Sugar Beach Resort=Convient location/easy access to all of Maui”

Thought the AC connected to the lanai doors was great. AC turns off if lanai doors are open. Did NOT like the motion detector in the bedroom. Necessity did not make sense. Also, on the 7th afternoon of our stay, decided to open the windows in the bedroom to help air flow thru...windows were unlocked! Regardless, would definitely stay @ Sugar Beach Resort again. Love the location!!!

“Well-maintained condo in great location”

We had a great end unit condo that was well equiped and nicely decorated. We could hear and see the ocean at all times and were within steps of the beach. Sugar Beach is a great location with easy access to other parts of the island. The grounds are well-maintained and the pool is available for lap swimming from 8-9:30 a.m. each morning. Enjoyed the sunsets each evening from our deck and the boat activity during the day.

“Planning our next trip now.”

Our stay at Sugar Beach Resort was great. Our room was on the 5th floor and had a great view of the beach. From the lanai we could watch the Maui canoe club in the morning and the sunset in the evening. With some time at the pool in between. Be sure to check out Dina's Sand-Which shop on the property good food and drinks with a great mix of locals and travelers. Don't forget to leave a dollar on the wall. Kihei is a great place to stay since you are close to everything and the prices are less then other places on the island. Cannot wait to go back, and I will.

Great location by the beach. Good area to lay out that wasn't crowded. Room was exactly what we were told and was great for everything that we wanted. I would definitely go back!!

“Great Place to stay !!”

When we first arrived they put us in #502 , the place smelled terrible, so i asked to change rooms, the company that handles Expedia was very helpful and gave us another room # 207 and it was wonderful and clean . The grounds were kept up nicely ,and so was the pool. You just can't say enough about how close the beach was and the view, even in an oceanview room. The other tourist were very nice and most were repeat visitors, that come here several times a year and yearly .The room was well stocked with kitchen supplies, the room felt clean and updated ,the fold out sofa was hard , but all sofa's are..We asked to stay a little longer than the check out time the people who handle expedia were very accomodating , so we made sure the room and laundary was clean when we left.The resort was a bit dated from the 70's , but made up for it with the beach and ve iw being so close...I would stay there again..

“Clean but not so Clean”

Was told we would get a queen size bed..... Ended up with only a double.... carpets were stained but the room still seemed clean... There was Coral just off the beach so not really anywhere to swim other then in the pool :(

The condo was a little dated, but very clean. The bed was VERY uncomfortable, but the Condo grounds were beautiful and well kept. We had a great view of the heated pool & the ocean beyond. We really enjoyed the outdoor gas grills, and they were kept very clean as well.
