“Enjoyable lodging at Lahaina pier”
Historic building with nice modern rooms, friendly and helpful staff, extremely convenient for Lahaina port activities such as whale watching boat trip, near to novice surfing area, free wireless. We arrived on Friday night and there was a talking parrot, good bar band which stopped at a reasonable hour, good food in the attached restaurant. Only minus was lack of an elevator, but with only two stories that is a minor inconvenience unless you have trouble with stairs. We would stay there again.
“Very nice hotel”
Lack a bit noise isolation from one room to the next + need to impose hotel guest not to be on the phone on the lanais after 10pm Except from that, a vey nice hotel, very comfortable, very good service
“Great little spot”
Great getaway
“Great Location”
Right in the middle of the tourist area of Lahaina, within walking distance of most major attractions and restaurants. Quaint older building with lots of character, but modern features. Many rooms have a view of the surrounding area from their balcony. There is no elevator, but the hotel is small and compact. Free parking is provided, however it is a couple of blocks away. Possibly not the best location for handicapped or elderly guests, but for most people it is fine.
“Fabulous location and historical character”
The motel was right on the beach with the marina 50 feet away. Shops were around the corner. The room was small but very clean. We're very glad we picked this motel to stay in and the price was very fair.
“Our stay”
Like stepping back in time. We loved it. The staff was helpful and the hotel was clean.
“Centrally located and historical hotel”
We enjoyed this historical hotel in downtown Lahini. It was across from the giant banyon tree/park and from the harbor so lots of activity. The restaurant had live music and a good atmosphere with good service. The parking was a block and a half away (not a big deal). The shops and restaurants were right there. A good price.
“cool place”
zzzzz
“Lahaina Pioneer”
Our room was extremly clean. We enjoyed the location because it was close to shopping areas and restraunts. The restraunt at the Pioneer in was only o.k. what helped was the service was very good and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
“Best Quaint, historic inn right in central Lahaina”
This is the best 100+ year old hotel at which I have ever stayed. Chosen because of its historical location and experience, the Pioneer Inn is a small venue with only 34 rooms. So it is very quiet, very private. All the modern amenities you want are available: phone, Internet, digital cable TV, and the safety of the hotel has been upgrade to include fire sprinklers as part of an extensive renovation. It is right on the Lahaina marina along Front Street juxtaposed to the city square where the famous old banyan tree is 139 years old. An abundance of dining and shopping across a continuum ensures there are food and gifts to meet every budget, big to small. In the hotel there is a nice restaurant and many small shops. The Pioneer Inn itself is a quasi-museum with photographs of old time Lahaina lining to walls. There was no elevator to be found so there is no wheelchair access beyond the first floor. So exclusive is the Best Western Pioneer inn because of the low room count and its quiet location. Parking is off-site about 100 meters away from the street-facing side of the Inn, but that is hardly an inconvenience since most of Lahaina is explorable on foot. Besides, if you drove everywhere it's $5 to $10 for parking at every venue. Just enjoy it and walk like they did back in the 1800s.
