We stayed in the Bamboo suite. We were pleasantly suprised and mindblown by how well maintained this property was. The whole space was just gorgeous and conveniently located close to the airport and at a perfect halfway point to either the west or east side of the island. Lots of greenery and rain so it stayed on the cooler side compared to the west side of the island.

An amazing hideaway in the North Shore! Peaceful and restful. Our room was bigger than expected with all the amenities. Owners did a great job ensuring it was very clean & with access to beach chairs & coolers.

We stayed in the Bamboo Suite. If you're looking for a romantic and adventurous stay in Maui away from the throngs of tourists, this is your spot. Easy jumping off point to the road to Hana and the volcano sunset/sunrise (both MUST do's when on the island.) Its also close to cute upcountry towns, our favorite was Makawao. There are pretty beaches nearby with turtles and surfers, but its windy especially in the afternoon. You will need to drive 40-60 minutes to the calmer beaches on the West and South side of the island.Having a luxurious spacious place to come home to was worth the scenic drive on our beach days. Place comes with everything you need for a beach day including beach chairs and a cooler (no umbrella or refreezable ice packs for the cooler so if you have room, pack those or check with Tom and Vicki if they've added thise). They are SUPER responsive hosts who live in another house nearby. You'll likely never see them, but they answered texts quickly. If you do the sunset/surise, bring the chairs-and warm clothes! Other notes: Wifi is super spotty, we were never able to stream anything, but gave us more time to connect as humans. Kitchen is nice, but not much of a pantry. Bring or buy your own spices/oil. GREAT shower. GREAT AC. GREAT shared lanai and gas grill. Never saw a cat or horse, but heard lots of birds amidst our peaceful jungle view.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Tom and Vicki put a lot of thought into the amenities and were easy to communicate with. HIGHLY recommend this place if you’re looking to stay just slightly off the beaten path. Loved the balcony, loved the closeness to Hana Hwy, and loved that we had a quiet, spacious, beautiful home to return to every evening after full days of exploring Maui. And the bed….omg! Was actually sad to return to our own bed after this stay! Thank you, Tom and Vicki for an excellent vacation!

It's a little out of town so you won't pop back and forth throughout the day- big inside area with nice kitchen with dishwasher on a well kept pretty property. We cooked breakfast daily and ate on the patio. There's a complimentary washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, great water pressure with hot water, a comfy living room, beach towels and accessories, a dedicated parking spot by the door, and all of the creature comforts from home. We like to take a break during the day so I might stay in Kehei next visit, otherwise this was a wonderful place to stay with helpful hosts!

This place was awesome. We were upstairs. The pictures online do not come close to doing it justice. Snacks and drinks and filtered water were waiting for us. Perfectly clean throughout. VERY well appointed. Lacking absolutely nothing. Great central location convenient to see a little of everything. Quick to Paia Town, 60 min to Lahaina, 45 min Shortcut to Hana, 30 to Haleakala access road, 30 to airport. Not only Paia Town, but MANY other great little stops nearby (Ho Okipa Beach for sunset and Sea Turtles, Baked On Maui, Scared Garden, Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center, "Downtown" Makawao, La' Akela Village - self-suficient community for the autistic, Ali'i Kula Lavender). Forest view reminiscent of Costa Rica, plus a horse and fun little visiting cat outside. Large outside deck with tons of seating and a grill. Full kitchen with everything you need. Bathroom bigger than most bedrooms. Big Jacuzzi tub, very nice standing shower (bring your own shampoo). Huge vanity / mirror area. Great towels. Dining area seats up to 8 easily. All furniture was top notch, expensive, almost luxurious. Decor was tremendous. Choice of dining area seating, barstool seating, living room seating. Master bedroom was big, comfy four post bed, ceiling fans, gentle lighting overhead but plenty of lamps as well, big closet. There is even plenty of seating in the bedrooms. Multiple A/C units. Tons of Beach chairs, boogie boards for use when headed to Lahaina etc.

Very quiet and clean. The property is located in the jungle and we only had a view if the jungle. Only a small part of one house was visable. The lanai was a perfect place to relax. There is no lobby so no staff around but the owners are very responsive to email and left phone numbers to call if we needed anything. There is air conditioning in the kitchen and living room that have timers so they can be set to come on before you get back. I like that we were in a quiet area with very little traffic. There were many little touches that made our stay enjoyable. There was a basket of goodies to eat and fresh flowers. There were little notes everywhere to help us find things. They provided beach chairs, ice coolers, and boogie boards as well as beach towels. I would definately stay here again.

The property is exceptional, the drive going into the Inn needs a lot of improvement, had holes you could lose a Volkswagen Beetle in. Also internet was not reliable, there was several areas in the suite that you would lose service which was frustrating when planning next day activities. Otherwise it was a great place to stay an exceptional value.

Excellent place, Tom was very helpful. Very nice to be away from the more touristy areas on Maui. While there wasn't much within walking distance, the quiet and solitude here (and the quality of the accommodations) were well worth it.

This is an amazing place to stay. Everything from the view to the drive and accommodations are extraordinary. The check-in process could not be any easier. The managers are great at welcoming you in a way only celebrities are accustomed to. This is a perfect quite tranquil and relaxing place to stay. You WILL NOT go wrong! PS. Best decision we could've made
My husband and I were super happy to have stayed at Bamboo Valley the suite is super clean, and host has everything that you can possibly need to make your stay feel at home. The area is a little hard to find but owners made every effort to email directions to make your drive easy. If you are looking for a romantic get away or family vaccation with a beautiful scene and romantic setting this is the place to stay. Like I mention they literally provided everything. They had boogie boards for us, coolers, beach chairs, towels , washer and dryer, outside shower, condiments if you choose to BBQ. I mean the owners are phenomenal my husband Gilbert and I will be going back next year and we plan on staying there every vaccation. Highly recommend it.

The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We catered for ourselves for the whole of our six nights. We used the very comfortable beach chairs that were provided as well as the beach towels. The outside BBQ area and the communal laundry was a bonus.

Nice and quiet
Our first night had a sound and a comfort issue that made for a poor night’s sleep. We went out the next day, leaving a message about our experience with the owners. By the time we got back both issues were taken care of completely. We were told that no other guests had complained about the comfort issue and we think this is true. Maybe because the owners are so likeable the other guests felt it would be rude to comment on the issue. The owners are truly interested in providing a quality experience to their guests and listen and act on your comments. This is a great place to come to after a day of exploring. You will have like-minded neighbors who are there for the peace and quiet, so you can be confident that you can come back completely spent and get a good night’s sleep. Having a kitchen and barbecue make it convenient to just sit back and take it all in. We used the air conditioning minimally and preferred to have the windows open at night to go to sleep and wake up to the sounds of birds and rain. On the downside, there is very little to do in the immediate area and you must drive to any activity/hiking. We thought there were more natural places/farms to visit that would give us a feel for this region. When you stay there you have more the feeling that you are staying at a friends or relatives house, not staying in a tropical location (we stayed in the downstairs unit). If you are looking for a more special experience, you might try renting one of the upstairs units.

Clean, upscale, comfortable & private
Accommodations were very nice, especially because it was off-season & we were alone. I suspect that in-season, when the other two suites could be occupied, the stay would have felt different. If we were to return in-season, I would would want the other two suites--at least the two upstairs--rented by family members or friends. The accommodations were clean & upscale. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with pots & pans, silverware, etc. Laundry facilities are shared but adequate. There were extras, such as beach towels, bogey boards & beach chairs. The setting is rural; decidedly not touristy. It's close to Paia & Makawoa. The first is something of a surfer community with restaurants & bars. The Paia Fish Market is popular & inexpensive. We especially liked shopping at Mana Foods, an excellent grocery with local produce. Makawoa seemed more sedate. There, I would recommend the restaurant Hali'imaile General Store, which was quite good, albeit pricey. I have no serious complaints, although we never saw the proprietors, Tom & Vicki. We did run out of propane on our grill after one cookout & had to exchange the tank for the tank on the grill downstairs. More of a concern was when we misplaced the keys, (only one set!), & were locked out. We texted & emailed Tom & Vicki as we went to dinner, about 8 PM, but didn't get a response until 3 AM. Fortunately we found the keys after dinner & let them know. A situation likely due to it being off-season.

Difficult to find way out of the towns. 1 a/c unit in living area window very noisy, also with ceiling fan which was one 1 speed only. Bedroom ceiling fans noisy had to switch off to sleep. No outside area to sit and relax except for small bbq area out back looking out over rain forest.

The Inn was convenient and quiet, tucked away from all the hoopla. We stayed in a jungle where we could hear birds, see trees, flowers and a horse. The condo was comfortable and had a nice kitchen we could prepare meals in. The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable. Laundry was available and made the price we paid all the more a great deal

Lovely remote guest house
The guesthouse is located in the jungles area and is a perfect place if you want to be far away from the city noise and travel daily to various places of interest. On average 40 mins to an hour drive to major attractions. Barbecue and beach accessories are very handy, wifi is fast, views are great. The biggest minus we experienced is the noise level of the neighbors staying on the second level - can hear every step and word from upstairs.

Hidden Bamboo Valley Inn
Full kitchen suite like for economy; all the comforts of home with ice chest, boards & chairs for travel. Excellent hidden jungle like atmosphere. About one hour from Lahaina. TIPS: Ask for directions. Inn is really not near anything, especially anything inexpensive, nor is the whole island... Very expensive to live. Groceries - very high. Hidden Walmart (the only 1) near airport is cheap with lots of food. Check all the closets & cupboards for useful stuff... Thank you Bamboo Valley Inn!!

it is Pradise, but unfortunately you hear everything your room neighbour on top does. it is not well noise-isolated . if your place is called a B&B you should offer Breakfast. The complimentary snacks and instant coffee is not equal to a real breakfast. But still, the house looks very pretty. The owners are very nice. And the surrounding is a jungle paradise.
