This Maui resort consists of 120 rooms in six buildings spread over 28 acres, ensuring space and privacy for guests.
A large outdoor pool shaped like the island of Maui offers plenty of swimming room. Near the pool is a volleyball court, and behind the resort are a horseshoe pit and two tennis courts. Complimentary cultural activities are held in the lobby on Tuesday through Friday mornings.
Aston Maui Lu offers high-speed Internet access (surcharge) is available in the 24-hour lobby.

Aston Maui Lu features a large outdoor pool, two tennis courts, a horseshoe pit, and a volleyball court. Many other recreational opportunities exist in South Maui. The activities desk in the lobby can arrange these.
There are 17 golf courses in South and West Maui, including four resort courses and one public course within seven miles of Maui Lu. The activities desk makes reservations at them all.
Also through the activities desk, the following beach gear can be rented: boogie boards, body boards, surfboards, boards with masks for viewing underwater life, snorkel sets, chairs, umbrellas, children's sand toys. Snorkeling and scuba-diving trips to the island of Molokini off South Maui can be booked through the activities desk.

Book a minimum 5-night stay January 3 - December 20, 2012 and January 3 - March 31, 2013 for travel during the same period, and receive every 5th night fee.

Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available. One-time registration fee of $10 per child includes a t-shirt. Daily rate of $25 per child includes meals. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance upon arrival at the resort. Registration is held daily at 8 AM at the Camp Kaanapali Center in room 135. Camp Kaanapali hours are Monday – Friday (with the exception of major holidays), 8 AM – 2 PM. Friday evening sessions are 5 PM – 9 PM and include dinner. Space is limited to 16 participants per session. Children who are ill may not attend.
Note: Camp Kaanapali is located at the ASTON Kaanapali Shores and is available for registered guests at all ASTON properties on Maui.

its real nice we have stayed 4 other hotels even much more we paid this is really the best for the value great garden right on the beach
“Wonderful Stay!!!!”
It was our first time to Maui and we had a wonderful stay at the Maui Lu! Everybody was extremly nice and helpful! The grounds were very pretty and it was nice to have the beautiful beach arcoss the street! The pool was very nice as well!! Kihei is in a great location,with not alot of traffic! McDonalds is just down the street for a quick breakfast. Yes,the resort needs a little updating,but you probably would not be in your room to much anyway!
“Mahalo Maui Lu!”
We had a fabulous time at the Maui Lu, the staff was so helpful and genuinely cared. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, so Polynesian it was the perfect accommodation for our trip. We spend most of our time snorkeling and in the water so the 'resort' feel does not suit our style, we vacation for the excursions and the experiences, thank you Maui Lu for playing your part.
“Fabulous vacation”
The accomotations were fabulous. The convience of booking other attractions to do on the island were great. Took care of it all right there. Gave sugggestions on what to do. I will highly recommend the Maui Lu to all my friends, infact my husband and I are planning are next trip back to Hawaii and we will definetly stay here again. Convienent to everything, plus ot was great haiving the luua right at the hotel, which was also a great show.
“Maui Lu”
Maui Lu provided a good service and it was based on the price. Its not a fancy hotel but if you want to save a little bit of money I raccomand it. The service was good and the staff was always available and friendly! Great place for family and to enjoy nice beaches!!!! But rent a car so you can see the island. The hotel is in a good location and everything is close.

Wonderful service, kind and helpful staff. Great help with driving directions when needed. Beautiful grounds. Our child stayed in the pool for hours. Amazing Sunset location at the Resort's private cove. We will definitely stay here again.
“Great place!”
The Maui Lu is a nice alternative for those who would rather not stay at a large impersonal resort. It has an excellent central location on the island. The coconut grove and meadow and beach are a definite high point for a peaceful place to relax, unlike the overly landscaped resort areas. The furniture (sofa and mattress) in the garden view room were somewhat out of date and worn. The pool was fantastic. Also, the Kihei Cafe is just a few miles down the road (best breakfast EVER!). Overall, a great budget conscious choice: it is an older hotel with all that comes with that, but also very peaceful and welcoming. I can't wait to go back !
“Maui Lu is a beautiful economical place!”
A wonderfully fun and friendly staff that went the extra steps to make us confortable. Clean rooms, with a fantastic view and small nearly private beaches. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, economical hotel and NOT a luxury resort this is it! I offer my highest recomendation to the Maui Lu. We'll be back!
“Definately would recommend this hotel to others!”
I had my doubts after reading the reviews before going to Maui and staying at the Maui Lu. It is an older hotel and with that in mind I was not disappointed, the rates were reasonable. I was with a group of 6, and we all stayed here. I found the place to be very comfortable. Our room was clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The grounds are pretty also. I will stay here on my next visit, but I think I would request a room with a balcony or beachside, only as a personal preference.
“Maui Lu-Great price and beachfront units are a must!”
The Aston Maui Lu was great and loved our Suite room which we upgraded to oceanside at arrival and King Bed. It was roomy, clean, awesome views, very comfortable. Will come again and definitely ask for the same room. Oceanside was the only way to go, especially while in Maui!!! Worth the extra per night. The staff were very friendly, helpful and especially Jane who helped us and made it extra special by the room suggestion. The share box in the lobby was also good. Got mats for the beach, there were some masks (but we had our own), etc. that other guests had left to use. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Some of the garden side room looked like they were older, but we didnt ever go inside them, so don't know the condition. Room #415 was awesome, and our son had #406 on main level. The lanai patios were great. They even had bbq if you wanted to use it. The beach in front of the hotel was nice sandy and easy access too. Would recommend and go back again!
