Book a minimum 5-night stay January 3 - December 20, 2012 and January 3 - March 31, 2013 for travel during the same period, and receive every 5th night fee.

Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available. One-time registration fee of $10 per child includes a t-shirt. Daily rate of $25 per child includes meals. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance upon arrival at the resort. Registration is held daily at 8 AM at the Camp Kaanapali Center in room 135. Camp Kaanapali hours are Monday – Friday (with the exception of major holidays), 8 AM – 2 PM. Friday evening sessions are 5 PM – 9 PM and include dinner. Space is limited to 16 participants per session. Children who are ill may not attend.

“A true piece of paradise”

So perfect in its simpleness and the wonderful part of Maui (north of Black Rock) but still close to the hotels and happennings south of Black Rock. Can't recommend enough!

“Memories of Maui”

This was a second visit for us but the hotel provides excellent value for the price. The convenience of being able to prepare your own meals if you wish was one of the major factors in selecting this property. The free shuttle to Whaler's Village and convenient local bus service from there to Lahaina is also a plus.

“Loved our unit #232”

Our unit seemed to have been very recently remodeled. Was very nicely done. Would definitely stay there again. The hotel beach was great.

“Will never stay anywhere else.”

We normally stay at Westin's or Sheraton's so we went off our usual path and tried the Villas with a full kitchen. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised. The location is PERFECT, units are roomy with everything you would want. Each unit is individually owned so decor varies. Ocean views in main tower have no lanai so the lower units are better. Restaurant is not fancy but has great food and friendly staff. Lobby is beautiful (recently redone) and front desk staff really make you feel at home. Parking was readily available. Beach offers snorkling near by. Warning!!!! If you are a stuck-up snob with a bad, cranky attitude, DON'T STAY HERE. This is relaxed, low key, and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else and don't want to deal with you. Gym is sorry so work out doing something else. I LOVED this place.

Dining

Mama's Fish House is not to be missed! The best food you'll ever eat on the planet. Expensive, but worth it. If you think you know lobster, try the Tristan lobster tails. Located right on the beach in a private cove, very romantic and the decor is old Hawaii and unique. Hula's Barefoot Bar is extremely cool with entertainment outside near the beach, drinks good, food reasonable and your feet are in sand. Try the baked goods at the Comfort Zone in Kaanapali, off the chart. Lulu's had wonderful fish dishes, sit outside. Best burger in town is at the Cool Cat Cafe on Front St. in Lahaina, great vibe. Bubba Gump's is right on the water and is fun with good and different shrimp dishes. Lappert's kona coffee ice cream is "to die for."

Events and shows

Warren and Annabelle's Magic and Comedy Show is a MUST DO in Lahaina. Magic will blow your mind and the comedy had us laughing for many days after. You can pass on the ziplines if you don't like to hit a brick wall going 35mph. Zipline guys were very sweet and fun, very helpful but.....

“Great Location but needs some updating!”

Beach is great but hotel needs updating. The one bedroom is really a studio as there is only a folding door to seperate the two rooms. Ocean view includes the entire parking lot as well.

Area recommendations

Kanaapali is great for kids. The ocean is not too rough and has a great little snorkling reef. Lahaina offers alot of stores and restaurants.

“Beautiful location!!!”

We stayed at Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas for 13 nights in October 2011 and it was wonderful! The property is well maintained with beautiful grounds. It was fairly laid back and quiet during our whole stay, which is exactly what we were looking for! We opted for a garden view condo to save some money and since the beach was within a couple minute walk from the room it worked out perfect. Kaanapali beach located right off the property is stunning! The onsite restaurant has great food and views from the restaurant’s patio are picturesque. When you’re ready to explore, west Maui has lots to offer for food and activities within a short driving distance. I hope we can return soon!!!

“We would love to live there!!!!”

The staff is so gracious and accommodating . This was our 8th stay at the Villas and we would not stay anywhere else, can't wait to go back and take our daughter and grandchild. Mahalo,

Must eat at Castaways, right on the beach next to the Villas, also Pollies in Upcountry, in Makawao. For cheap eats, Maui Taco's is great.

“Would Stay Again!”

Liked the location, easy drive into Lahaina for groceries, shopping and activities. Great beach with wonderful snorkeling right in front. We went to a few other places to snorkel and we had the best right there. Castaway was convenient for breakfast when I didn't feel like cooking, food was good. Super wonderful grounds and pools were nice. House keeping and maintenance were hard workers. Had a few minor issues; when we checked in I asked about the upgrades I qualified for from Expedia and they said they didn't have them available, the bed was not very comfortable, but then I'm used to a memory foam type mattress, air conditioning was loud, absolutely nothing to cook with in terms of condiments and spices, (did have dishes, glassware, utensils and cooking utensils and few pots and pans, one small skillet), we asked housekeeping for salt and pepper and they gave it to us, we ended up leaving a lot of food stuffs, that in other condos we have stayed were supplied. We stopped at Costco and probably shouldn't have bought as much there as we did because we had too much just for two of us. Safeway really worked the best for us. Still we spent 10 wonderful days on beautiful Maui and loved it.

“Great Hotel, just off the Beach Walk”

If it's quiet and peaceful that you want, this is the spot. Nice beach, great pool and jacuzzi, nice little cafe with good food at a reasonable price. The over-populated Kaanapali beach walk is an easy walk away or a free trolley ride right from the front of the hotel. We had one of the 1 bedroom suites in the main building, 3rd floor over-looking the pool. Have NEVER stayed in a nicer setting and more spacious, well-equiped, clean room. Will definitely go back!
